We have stayed at the Comfort inn maingate, many times in 2008 and 2009. This is the hotel of our choice, everytime we visit Disneyland. We have annual passes and live in norhtern Ca. The rooms are great. the big room for the adults and the kids room with bunks and table and tv for the little ones. The kids love having their "own "room. So far, every experience we have had, has been great. The breakfast was light, however, it was enough to fill us up before leaving for the park.So far so good. We are going again and getting are annual passes this month. We are looking forward to our trip.

Booked this hotel through another website. Got the package for a reasonable price however if I could do it all again I would pay a little more and pick my hotel. We were traveling with a large group and booked two, two bedroom, two bathroom rooms. Day one the plumbing was shot... We understood this was not the hotels fault and were fine with switching rooms... However they did not have any more of those rooms so we got a down graded room with no microwave, smaller tv's and overall smaller rooms. All the hotel had to say was sorry and were relatively inconsiderate about the whole situation. Then the next day they had a screw up in their system and our key cards would not work. Apparently someone had put in the system that we were supposed to check out and now we were locked out of our room. They then took their sweet time to reactivate the cards and did not apologize or even seem to care. Not only did they not seem to care we came back to the rooms unclean and when we asked why they said ohh because you were supposed to check out... Did not offer to send anyone up to take care of it or anything... This is my first and last time staying with any comfort inn....

First all, I do sincerely appreciate your comments. There was an area main sewer line clogged on the New Year day. We have no other choice and have to relocate your family from a kid suite room to two connecting rooms. Thanks for your understandings and cooperation to agree to relocate your room. These connecting rooms are standard two queen size beds room. They all have refrigerators but no microwave ovens and big screen flat TV. Under our records, we did move the microwave oven from your existing room to Room #203, which is one of the rooms you move in. However, I did not see the record that we move the 32” flat TV to replace the 27” standard TV for you. This is our fault. Even you may not place any complain during that time, we should automatically change it for you, since the TV sit over the room you moved out is no use anyway. I will make this rule as our future standard practice. Again, thanks for your comments.

Regarding your room have not been cleaned, I have to do the following explanation. Under our housekeeping daily records, there are total 9 rooms posted “Do Not Disturb” sign outside their doors and requested no services on 01/02/2010. Your Room #203 & #204 are two of these nine rooms. No matter under any circumstance, our housekeepers all being trained not to go into the rooms with “Do Not Disturb” signs on. Your rooms not being cleaned is resulted from the “DND” sign on the outside doors.

Regarding the reason you supported to check out on 01/02/2010, the original reservation for all your group thru another travel agent website is for three (3) rooms total from 01/02/2010 to 01/05/2010. However, your family decided to come earlier, so you booked one room thru our franchise central reservation system from 12/30/2009 to 01/02/2010. Since these two reservations are thru two different channels and the ways we bill are different, one we need to bill you directly, and we need to bill the travel agent for the other reservation. So, in our computer system, we have to check you out and re-check you in immediately to the same room. That’s why we need to reactive your room key. However, this is not the reason we did not clean your rooms. My front desk staffs replied you the wrong information. If the guest supported to check out but forget the date or they decide to extend their stay but fail to notify our front desk, our housekeepers will still clean the room and leave all guests’ stuffs in the room and wait for them come back. Since they supported should check out, their room key will be expired and they have to come to front desk to seek assistant for either reactive their key for a late check out or complete their paperwork to extend their stay. The front desk staff replied you incorrectly apparently need more on-site training. I herein apologize that this lack-of –training manner.

Hope the above explanation can earn your understanding and forgiveness. Wish we still have an opportunity to serve you and your family again.

We stay at this hotel every time we visit Disneyland; usually at least two times per year. The rooms are GREAT! They have suites with two queen beds and then a separate room with bunk beds and another TV for the kids! Some of them even have a separate bathroom for each room!

The breakfast is always good; the staff always pleasant. The rooms are very comfortable and are truly a great value. And you can't beat the fact that it's only one mile from Disneyland.

I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel, anytime, any day!!

We stayed in the 2 bdrm, 2 bath "suite" for 4 nights. Our room was in the back of the hotel, bordering a side street, and was very quiet. The first night, we experienced some difficulty with the toilet flushing in the master bath. The front desk sent someone right away to plunge it, it looked promising, but it still didn't flush properly. The next day, they moved us to the room next to that one, and everything was perfect. The breakfast is a bit on the light side, especially if you're really not much of a waffle person. However, our room had a microwave and a refrigerator, which we knew prior to going, and took our own meals with us. Considering a meal for a family of 4 can cost $50 in Disneyland, we found it to be more cost-effective to make our own breakfast before going. Plus, we take snacks and eat one meal in Disneyland & hold off on dinner until we get back to the hotel. It works with older kids, don't know how it would have worked with younger ones.

One final note, another reviewer was unhappy about the A.C. being shut off in their room while they were at Disneyland. Each room is equipped with a sensor. Once it no longer detects movement in the room, it shuts off the utilities & saves the hotel money, which is reflected in the price of the hotel. We did not feel that it took very long for the rooms to cool back down. Both of the rooms that we were in had a placard with the information on it. We thought that it was a great idea, and have noticed that more and more hotels are switching to similar type systems. We appreciate the fact that it helps them keep the cost per night down!

I find the older I get, the pickier I get on the condition of the hotels our family stay at! We found this to be a great hotel for our needs and would definitely stay again. The staff was always helpful and pleasant, and we felt that housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning our room(s). There was more than sufficient parking in a well-lit parking area. We left our vehicle in the parking lot and took the shuttle to Disneyland. The shuttle was probably the most frustrating part of our stay. The schedule and the routes had recently changed, and the shuttle does NOT have a set schedule, and does NOT come "about every 20 minutes" like they want you to believe, but, according to others, it would appear that it's still easier to take the shuttle than to deal with parking at Disneyland.

We were pleased with our room. It was very clean and had just what we were told would be in the room. Microwave, fridge, and flat screen TV. The kids room had a bunk bed and TV also. It was nice having 2 bathrooms when you travel with 6 peolple, saves time getting ready in morning. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a quick one. They have waffles you prepare yourself, cold cereals, toast, bagels, juices. I would stay there again, it was good for the money spent.

we stayed at this hotel for 9 nights and have had a great experience. we live in hawaii and have stayed at a few hotels here, and haven't had as great an experience as some of the waikiki 4 star hotels.

we checked in at about 1130 pm, and were given a room on the backside of the hotel, which we LOVED!!! still a short walk from the parking, and less foot traffic. no headlights shining into our room as cars parked, no noise from late nighters, and safer for my kids.

it may be a layout plan thing, but our hotel room had an a/c in each of the rooms. some people said that their room had an a/c in the main room and a fan for the smaller room. our room was a 1 bathroom room, which worked out well for us. we had a total of 3 adults, 3 kids, and 1 toddler.

the breakfast wasn't too bad either, but i would have preferred scrambled eggs instead of boiled eggs. and there was no breakfast meat. there were however fresh fruits, but i didn't think they were really ripe enough to eat.

the service was great, i needed 2 extra towels so i called the front office, and more towels were delivered to my room in minutes. the maids were very pleasant, and thanked me one day when i had to return to my room while she was cleaning. ***remember to tip your maids daily, don't save it for the last day because there usually is a different maid every day!***

the front desk staff was always very friendly and always accommodated us with anything we needed, and answered our questions promptly and professionally.

we had my mother traveling with us, so we were eligible for a senior discount, even though she wasn't the one paying the bill!! the refrigerator was very cold, and the microwave was great for warming up leftovers. over all, it was a great place for us to rest our bodies... i would surely stay at this hotel again!
