My family and I absolutely LOVED this hotel. From the moment we walked in we were treated with first-class care and customer service. We arrived at the hotel earlier than the check in time, so we ate at the hotel's fabulous restaurant "The Sand Box" to kill some time. After eating we came back to the front desk to see if our room was ready and it was not. Since our room was not ready the front desk upgraded us to a suite with no extra cost to us!!! We loved the suite. I will definitely come back to this hotel!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Disneyland or wants to get away for relaxation.

We stayed in a Yuha Suite, which was perfect for us as the kids had their own 'room' with a sliding door in between. It's a great location about a 10 minute walk from the Disney parks and at night we could see the Disneyland fireworks from the window. We were probably one of the few rooms where we could do this and we booked that room by accident. There are some imperfections - the doors are super heavy, the breakfast is nothing special, we could hear the people next door a bit. However considering the location, the room configuration and the free breakfast, we would happily stay here again on our next trip to Disneyland.

Room Tip: We were in room 561 on the top floor and had a partially obstructed view of the Disneyland fireworks...

I take my Adult Transition class of students every year to this hotel. Everyone is helpful and wonderful. They make sure our rooms are close together so the teachers can help when necessary. The rooms are wonderful and the hide-a-bed really helps. I believe the breakfast is wonderful. It was also a great learning experience for the students to learn to leave a tip at a breakfast buffet. Thanks so much

I returned to Desert Palms for my yearly visit. It was as AWESOME as I remembered it from last year. The suites were very clean and I like how a top sheet was put over the blanket so when I was watching TV it was very comfortable to sit on.
The breakfast was much improved from last year! I loved the waffle maker and the the size of the waffles were great so that I could enjoy the rest of the buffet and not be stuffed!
I travel by the OCTA and the location is withing walking distance of Disneyland which makes for a perfect vacation.

The hotel is very clean the staff are all very friendly and helpful, the free breakfast is good for being free ... Could be worse, no complaints there really. About 10 min walk to park. Only negatives were beds Super uncomfortable we both woke up with aching backs. The walls are super thin can hear everything in the rooms next to you so don't plan on sleeping later than 6-630. And the pool could be open later (at least for adults)due to the fact that you get back from disney late and would like to soak in the hot tub.

So nothing spectacular here. Just a good solid experience at a reasonable price.

The rooms are a little tired, but really you are out doing thing. They are for sleeping and showering in. They were clean. Girlfriend and I never felt unsafe here.

Check in was available early at 9am which was great after a 15 hour long haul flights and staff were friendly and courteous.

Breakfast is basic, but make your own waffles is cool and the hit selections did seem to change throughout the stay. Sufficient variety for whatever your tastes are and failing that, it's free so no loss, just go down the road to an abundance of places. Think some other reviews are a little harsh -'do you expect a 3 hat dining experience at a free hotel breakkie?

Coffee was terrible but as an Aussie we drink ours differently, but it's free so meh and one has to accept US coffee is generally ordinary unless you seek something better out.

Walk to the parks was about 10min and an easy walk.

All in all if I got a much better dollar deal in the area I would consider somewhere else but all things being equal would not hesitate in coming back here or recommending to friends or family.

Two thumbs up!

Julie Gomez, the group sales coordinator I dealt with was able to help me book 15 rooms and suites to accommodate my group of 90 students age 11-14, and 15 chaperones. She was quick to respond to her e-mails, and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. She even contacted me when there was a change in two of the rooms we had requested. The rooms were spacious and we had no issues with parking our two charter busses. All the staff was courteous and helpful. This is our second time using this hotel, and we will be using it again in the future.

Room Tip: We loved the two room suites because they accommodated up to 8 persons.
