We stayed at the Hilton Anaheim in October 2009 for 4 nights. I decided on Anaheim as we wanted to visit Disney and didn’t want to pay a lot of money staying in Hollywood. We got a very good price for 4 nights and were very pleased with our stay. Anaheim is situated about 30 minute car journey from Hollywood.

We got a taxi from LAX and it cost around $80 and took around 45 minutes to get to our airport. The airport is minutes from Disney and is situated by a lot of restaurants next to the convention centre. Our check in was quick and efficient and we quickly headed off to our room which was a massive walk away it must have taken 15 minutes to walk to even using the escalators. The hotel is very large and has a restaurant and some fast food chains there was also a Starbucks in the lobby and a few souvenir shops.

The rooms were large and had a nice comfortable bed, TV and a very nice en suite bathroom with a shower and bath. Although they had the slide across doors fro the bathroom which I found very odd and did not like. The room was large though but a very boring décor and was very dark even in the daytime. The restaurant was very nice and did a great buffet breakfast.

Disney is worth a visit and was very enjoyable we went over to Hollywood for a few days and did not enjoy it at all. We went to Universal Studios which was ok we stayed for the Halloween Horror nights which was fantastic. Overall I was extremely disappointed with Hollywood and LA in general if you want theme parks go to Florida as it’s much better in my opinion. But the Hilton is a great base if you want to go to Disney Anaheim.

My husband, Parents, Step Daughter and I spent the Christmas holidays visiting Disneyland and we stayed at the Hilton, Anaheim. We booked early and got great rates. The hotel is beautiful and the service is excellent. Our rooms were all very nice and were very clean. My parents had a room on the 12th floor and they had a view of the fireworks from Disneyland nightly. We were walking distance to the park as well as to Coco's and Tiffy's where we went for breakfast. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

The walls between rooms in this 60s-style pile are paper thin and most guests are families with kids. Your best hope is that the kid is small enough that they need to shut up and go to bed early.

We stayed here for Christmas this year for 4 nights, my wifes family also stayed here and used this hotel as our base for Disney and visiting family that live in the area. What a fantastic hotel! Rooms were $89/night, which I thought was an excellent value. Pool/hot tub area was very clean and hardly used while we were there, with at least 4 hot tubs that I saw. We arrived at 10 am and were granted an early checkin, and all staff we encountered were very polite and professional. The hotel is a short walk (15 mins) to Disney, and if you don't want to walk can use the shuttle busses that all area hotels use for $4 for adults which provides as many rides in 1 day back and forth as you want. What is there to complain about in that regard?

All in all this is an excellent hotel providing an excellent value for a Hilton. I spend many nights a year in hotels for both work and play and would be very happy if they were all as good as the Hilton Anaheim.

We were happy with the Hotwire price we got for this hotel for our 6 day stay.
It was quiet and comfy, at least our corner room on the 4th was.
No fridge, but ice/ice bucket chilled a couple of drinks, use the plastic rubbish bin also if neccessary.
Had no laptop and was quoted $25 for 25 minutes to use the public lobby computers.
Enjoyed the pod-type coffee, asked for extra pods every morning and was given them no problems.
Beds were outstanding, best I have slept on.
Hot water was a problem if we tried to turn it on slowly- took a day or two to figure that out.
Room service food was punctual but just ok- that didnt matter as we were eating out most days.
Heated pool and spas were great- we were in their most days and were open until late.

To save money just do the obvious- don't use their phones unless you have a card (they charged us just to receive a call! Also a $5 card gave us nearly an hour to Australia, but they will even charge for them if you are on the card for over 40 mins.)
Eat elsewhere if convenient (we had milk in the ice-bucket and disposable plates/cereal for brekkie).
The walk to Disneyland was only 15-20 mins tops- we didnt bother with the ART.
Doing this we managed to keep each night at the $63 + tax + parking fee.

I am happy to hear that you had an enjoyable stay with us! I wanted to share the "Business Benefits Package" details with you which include the amenities you have mentioned.

For $14.95 per person / day, you receive high speed internet access, health club access and unlimited local phone calls. This is a great package if you plan on utilizing all of these amenities.

As far as the hot water problem, thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have contacted our property operations team to further investigate and resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Again, thank you for your valuable feedback. We look forward to your future stays with Hilton!

We stayed for two nights in late December and were reasonably impressed. The hotel is in a good location to access Disneyland and downtown Anahiem and the surrounds are quite nice. The staff are quite friendly and having a Disneyland desk on site was really helpful. We has a Disneyview room which was great as we could sit and watch the fireworks at night from our room. On the downside, there was no fridge in the room (we knew that going in but it's still annoying) to chill water etc, the coffee making facilities in the room were abysmal (Starbucks downstairs but that is extra $$$$) and the shower took ages to get hot and even then it wasn't really hot. Overall though we would recommend the hotel to anyone looking to visit the theme parts for a few days.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 days while visiting Disneyland. All amenities for this hotel are very expensive, we have stayed at many other hotel chains and never had to pay as much as this one. The breakfast buffet is $21.00 per person, very overpriced for a breakfast. They charge for the internet in your room, and have outrageous charges to use the phone. A one minute long distance call to Canada cost $12.00. Anything over 1 minute cost $3.00 per minute. They do not publish this rate in the rooms. They do not have a shuttle to disneyland, had to use the ART system, nor do they have direct shuttle to the airport in LA, you have to take a bus that goes to all hotels or pay $95 for a car. I would not recommend this hotel for families, there are better deals to be found at hotels, even across the street.
