My wife and i stayed at this hotel in mid October. The rooms have been nicely updated. the rooms still have the same noisy a/c units though. the only problem i had with the room was the front door. it needed quite a bit of force to open it. something was rubbing on something

We stayed here for our Disneyland vacation. We checked a lot of hotels and inns in the area and this one looked good for our needs. The service at the main desk is not fast as they are lacking the personnel at busy hours. Parking priviledges are $8 per day. There are a few buildings, two stories high, with concrete floors therefore not too much noise. The access to the upper floors is by staircases or elevator.
The rooms are nice, good size, have a mini fridge and microwave oven, a full size dresser, a small table, a working desk, cable TV and free internet. The bathroom has a window towards the outside but it is pretty humid in CA to stay open long or to eliminate the moisture after the shower.
The inn offers free breakfast, not their forte. The variety is slim and there is not much healthy food. Some eggs (boiled or scrambled), some soggy pancakes or french toast, bacon, pastries and doughnuts, coffee, tea, juices, milk and cereals, toast and bagels. Not too many fruits. The breakfast area is too small for the number of guests.
Rooms are clean, the bedding is good and the ammenities are good for the price. The building facing the pools allows you to peak at the park's attractions and also the daily 10 pm fireworks. There is a good view on the upper floor exterior coridor.
The location is good because is in the walking distance to Disneyland park. It is a 15-20 min walk to the main entrance. It is pleasant, lots of vegetation and brightly lit at night time.
Great attractions for the kids are the two swimming pools and the hot tub, the small hotel park with the bushes trimmed in animal shapes and the outside fireplace sometime lit in a chilly night.
This BW is a good deal for the money compared to other places in the area. I would certainly come back here if I find myself in the area.

Room Tip: Upper floors give a better view, select the ones facing the pool and the park. If you like quieter a...

We stayed here in June for our 3 day adventure at Disneyland/CA Adventures. Beautifully decorated, but small room (do note that the beds are very high as my toddler fell off once - thankfully he was ok), decent breakfast (get there early and have your partner in crime save a table as space is limited, french toast "sticks" were awful, but free), and the pool was fabulous (two hot tubs - one is hotter than the other - and two pools). On the down side, there is a pretty good walk to the parks. I was okay with the walk since I wasn't going to shell out $$$ on the park hotels that are close by, so I dealt with it. I didn't use a rental car, but I did notice that the lots were packed with cars. Overall, a great hotel with decent package for families with small children.

Stayed here at the beginning of October. Our room was in the 200 block and was newly renovated. The air conditioner looked brand new. The carpet, furnishings, all looked new. The doors looked old but that's not a big deal to us. Unlike the other reviews here, we never saw them run out of food at breakfast and that includes our last day where we were among the people still there after 9 AM.

The pool was nice and very clean. The walk to disneyland took us roughly 12 minutes so it was OK. There's forum posts here that give details of how to cut thru the Grand Californian hotel lobby to get to Downtown Disney.

The 3rd floor balcony gave us an OK view of the fireworks at night.

Hotel staff was very nice. They don't have in room safes but they did have lock-boxes for free behind the front desk.

There's a restaurant next door to this that had decent prices and decent food but was not very clean and definitely needed more staff.

Room Tip: 200 block rooms seem to have been newly renovated

Honestly for what you pay, I think it is an awesome hotel! We were in room 305 (top floor) and it is one of the rooms with an adjoining room- although we just stayed in one room. It was clean with comfy beds. You can see the fireworks from the balcony which was cool (you could hear the fireworks at 9:30 every night- not so cool if you want to head to bed early!)

The breakfast was pretty lame, just a whole lot of carbs so we didn't eat there! We ate at Coco's or Denny's which was more our style for a big breakfast!

We and another couple of friends stayed here Oct 1st to 9th on a trip to LA and Disneyland. This was our first stay at Stovall's Inn and Anaheim. The location of the hotel was great, a 10min walk to Disney. The room has been recently renovated and the beds were very comfortable.
The room has a microwave and a fridge. The air con is very noisy even though our unit looked new it was of a very old design, Luckily it wasn't so warm that we needed it on all night. The walls are thin and there is some noise from neighbours but that is part of staying at a hotel close to Disney in that most rooms will be full of excited kids not used to being quiet. There is a large gap under the doors for some reason. Some rooms have a decorative metal panel in front of them which cuts our natural light and WiFi signal very effectively although when our friends mentioned this to the staff their IT guy played with the antennas to improve the signal for them.

The breakfast in the morning was great for the price ie: FREE. I was astounded that all the american people staying there who spent all their time moaning about the breakfast - it is free what do you expect - you aren't at the Four Seasons - get over it or pay for more at the local Cocos. There is cereal, toast, coffee, tea, OJ, pastries, pancakes and biscuits and gravy, hard boiled eggs etc....all you could reasonably expect.

The pool area is very nice with manicured topiary figures - there are 2 pools and a hot-tub. The area felt safe at night walking back from Disney and to the local shops. There didn't seem to be many homeless or dodgy characters about.

You do have to pay $8 a day for parking which is a bit rich but the parking area has in and out barriers and I suppose they need to pay for that system somehow.

Room Tip: looking towards Disney for the fireworks at a weekend

My sister and I stayed here on a recent trip to Disneyland. We have visited the Anaheim area multiple times although this was our first stay at Stovall's Inn. The location of the hotel was great, a 10min walk to Disney and part of that is through the Grand Californian and Downtown Disney which made the walk very enjoyable. The inside of the room has been nicely renovated and the beds were very comfortable.

Our room was located right across from the lobby and the noise from the road was significant. After the first night we turned on the air conditioner just to drown out the noise from the road and the people on either side of us since the walls were very thin you could hear everything. There was such a large gap between the door and the floor that each night we stuffed a towel under the door to keep the light/bugs out of our room. There was also a large metal panel right outside our window so we had no natural light in the room except from the window in the bathroom. The wi-fi also did not work from our room, the only way to get it to work was to go outside the room or go to the lobby.

The breakfast in the morning was average, the only hot items were pancakes and biscuits. You can get a hard boiled egg if you ask. Nothing spectacular but enough to get you going for the day. We never visited the pool but it looked quite nice and was always busy in the afternoon.

Overall I was somewhat dissapointed in the hotel, I have stayed at numerous best western's and usually quite enjoy them but this one has to be one of the worst I have stayed at. Although for the price and location if you are only staying a few nights and spending most of your time at Disneyland then it does the job.

Room Tip: Ask for a room further back from the main road, that should help with the noise issue.
