“GREAT VALUE”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2012

I am a travel consultant a had a large group booked into this hotel. Our check in for 94 people was so quick and efficient which was needed after the long flight from Sydney to LA. The staff are extremely coutous and helpful. Loaction is fantastic wih plenty of choices for places to eat and they ar all extremely well priced. The rooms themselves are quite a good comfortable size and were clean. The kids loved the pool / water play area. You can get breakfast cereals etcfrom the shops narby if you want to have a smple breakfast in your room or you can eat out at any of the restaurants that are right across the road. Of course the major benefit is the close proximity to Disneyland so if the kids get tired you can pop back and let them have a rest before hitting the park up again for all the night action.

A very nice hotel, super close to Disneyland, an easy walk - even for lasy us. We were on the 5th floor with an excellent view of the fireworks. Be aware there's no breakfast included, but nice restaurants are right across the parking lot & many things (cereal, milk) are available in the (vastly over-priced) store in the hotel's lobby. Frig & microwave in the room. Bargain note: there's a Target just south on Harbor, stock up there!

This hotel is very close to Disneyland. We were able to watch the fireworks from our hotel. The hotel was clean and well serviced; although the airconditioning was loud and didn't work very well. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed here in July 2011 for 8 nights and had a wonderful stay.
I sat out on our balcony and watched the fireworks at Disneyland (got some great photo's too!)
Our room overlooked down onto the reception building - we were on the 3rd floor.
It was in a quiet location and within easy walking distance of the parks.
The room was clean and amenities good for a basic hotel, when all you need is a room to sleep in.
We loved breakfast at mimi's next door and enjoyed the walk along S Harbor Boulevard.
We would definately stay here again.

This was our first hotel in our holiday. We arrived late at the hotel and were greeted in a very friendly manner by the night porter.
I was more than a little dismayed that after a long day's travel from Australia, a long wait at LAX trying to sort out some lost luggage, a wait for transport, then a long drive to the hotel, we found that our rooms had to be reached via the stairs with all our luggage, with no assistance offered.
There was a little fridge in the room which should be standard, but the information that it was not switched on, was not obvious at all.
Other than this we found the location good for Disneyland, but to other places such as reasonable shops was too far and transport was difficult to understand.
The price was great so this helped offset any little complaints, but would love to see the elevator issue addressed

Room Tip: Check on access- stairs?

We stayed in this "HOJO" while on our first trip to Disneyland in May of 2012! I could write so much, but let's just keep it short and sweet! Or as short as I can keep it!

Con's:
- the decor in the room, while clean, was just a little outdated, although when your in Disneyland 12 hours a day, does it really matter?!
- maybe ask for a room a little higher up, since we were only on the second floor, not much of a view, except for a the side of a concrete ramp on the freeway. I had requested away from the freeway when I booked, but wasn't quite sure what happened there! I mean, granted they are surrounded by freeway's compared to living in Victoria, Canada, which is why I chose not to complain about it... although maybe being a little higher up would have alleviated the visual of being so close.

PRO'S (which by far, out weigh the con's)
- GREAT location to Disneyland entrance! Only 1 block away! Not bad at all.
- The front desk staff was especially helpful, even saving me from the mistake of a tour company! And whenever I had questions, they were prompt to help!
- The beds were very comfortable, had no problems at all!
- The pillows!! I have to mention them! I wish I had packed one in my suitcase, they were the comfiest I have ever slept with and I have been searching for something like it ever since!
- I liked that they put a huge mirror outside the bathroom, makes for easy getting ready in the morning when both of us were rushing to get ready to get to the park early on!
- Also found the information book in the room a good tool since we had no idea what to do or where to go for food and other things!
- The gift shop they have on premise was so convenient! Had instant oatmeal's, fresh fruit, milk, easy stuff to make a good breakfast before heading off to the park for the day!
- The restaurant across the street, Mimi's, was great for the nights we were to exhausted to venture far from the hotel, yummy food, good prices! I recommend signing up online on Mimi's website in advance, they send you buy one get one entree coupons! Saved quite a bit there!
- Felt very safe in the area, even walking back at 1:00am after a movie at the theatre in downtown disney.

Overall, despite the couple con's, our room served it's purpose. A clean and excellent place to stay while visiting Disneyland Parks! We had waited quite awhile to visit the parks and plan on doing just a couple of days again next year! We wouldn't stay anywhere else but the "HOJO".

Room Tip: Maybe ask for something higher to avoid really noticing the surrounding freeways!

This was by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The decor in the room was from the 80's but very clean and not run down by any means. Property was clean, beautiful landscaping, clean pool areas. Wonderful views of fireworks by hot tub and west parking lot. Staff very friendly. Children's pool area was cleaned every morning. Closet area in room which was a great place to store things and boys to dress in. Short walk to McDonald's and Disneyland which was great for my mom and two boys. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to ALL families.
