“Great staff and housekeeping”
Reviewed 22 August 2011

Myself, husband, 19yr son, 14yr daughter, and another adult couple stayed one week at Peacock Suites and had a great time.

Our room was updated and clean. Everything we needed for the week and room for all of us (6 people) Two queen beds, 1 couch pullout, and a pull down from the wall Queen size bed.

We are more about enjoying the surroundings and normally don't care where we stay as long as we can just sleep comfortably and it surpassed all that. Two TV's, privacy with that amount of people, room to move and comfortable and clean.

Breakfast was fine for us: Hard boiled eggs, pastries, cereal & milk, coffee, juices, toast and jelly.

The sunroof was really really nice. Head out with a beer and just relax.

Only complaint I have was the hours. Everything closed down at 11 and when you are out running around at parks, etc it's hard to come back and be able to enjoy the pool, hot tub and sunroof because they are then closed.

I felt really cramped and sufficated in the space provided. There is a window overlooking roof tops! The room is long narrow path. First their is a bathroom as u enter, then king size bed, hardly any leg room. They put a window divider and curtain to separate the bedroom from livingroom and called it a suite!

WIth every hotel there are pros and cons. I found more pros than cons with this place. I am a Shell owner, so that is why we stayed. We booked two rooms because there were two adults and FIVE children in our party. Con was the kids room was not close, which is a pro depending on how you look at it. Pros' the rooms were large enough to accomodate us. The kids had double beds and a couch easily sleep 6 in that room. We had the King and couch easily sleeps 4 comfy. Con the hotel doesn't have a free shuttle, there is a city shuttle that cost. Pro we walked the mile to Disney and it was good exercise, less than a mile if you cut through the alley and then through the Residence Inn parking lot to Clementine.
Pro Gardenwalk is in walking distance, there are a few restaurants there. Pro breakfast was provided every morning from 7am-10am. Con the only fruit choice was oranges everyday....Eggs were only available boiled which were great to take for later to add to salads. Pro kids loved the pastries con the kids would've liked Lucky Charms or Rice Krispies to be added to the mix. Overall it was a cheap way to start the day. Pro the ping pong table and courtyard area were nice and shaded. The pool was a pro along with the splash center for kids. Con was toward end of day the towels ran out.

Pro the rooms have microwaves and mini refrigerators. Con no stoves, Big PRO they had BBQ grills in the courtyard, just ask for spatula and fork. The grills are cleaned daily. Con no big knives to cut with we found a guest with a Crocodile Dundee knife who let us use it. If you are creative on the grill you can have some great dinners.

Pro free wireless internet Pro maids cleaned everyday, changing sheets every other day depending on length of your stay. Pro I saw the Maintance guys fixing stuff and painting everyday, Pro I saw the bug man spraying, but never saw any bugs. Pro ANYTIME i called the front desk they accomodated us within minutes (extra towels, directions, coins for washer, extra blankets) Con ONE mean valet guy. He was moody the day I needed my vehicle, but everyone else was pleasant and friendly. Most times you see the Valets running to get your vehicle and they have you ready to go in less than 2 minutes. Pro check in was easy reservations were there and JOSH was friendly, after a twelve hour drive it was nice to see a smiling face. We didn't have to show proof of anything except DL and CC. Concierge was polite and friendly. She offered her suggestions on places to eat. We had a visitor come by and she was allowed to park her vehicle without paying the fee.

The hotel was in the middle of changing out the furniture in the rooms. New couches were being installed when we checked out. Most rooms already had them. Sun deck was nice, great view at night.

Overall I would stay again, We stayed for 6 nights. One thing to remember this is a hotel that serves as a gateway to Disneyland, which is geared toward kids. As long as you aren't looking for a romantic getaway or Resort living you will be ok.

Room Tip: Stay on the top floor to avoid hearing little feet or people coming and going.

We a family of five from Australia went on our annual family vacation to the USA for one month. We spent two weeks at Disneyland in California. The one thing we found, when looking for accomodation in the other cities (San Francisco, New York, Las Vegas etc) when there are five people you almost always have to get two rooms. This can make it quite expensive when you are away from home for so long. Plus it's not quite the same when you are not altogether. Peacock Suites is great. It gave us a large family size room with two queen beds & then a sitting area which had a double fold out sofa. It could hold up to 6 adults. Even in Anaheim, where families tend to go, there are hardly any hotels who can accomodate five to a room. Just a short walk from Disneyland (we did this each way, even with our 3yr old in her stroller. )If you don't want to walk, the trolley stop is just outside & at such reasonable rates, you can take that there & back. A continental breakfast is also included with your room rate. You can have that in the breakfast room or bring trays back to your own room. Laundry facilities, pool, jacuzzi & EXTREMELY helpful staff make it our number one pick in Anaheim. This is our second stay there & we will always go back. The rates are SO affordable (less than $80 per night) for 5 people + breakfast when we go in October/November. Highly recommend Peacock Suites!!

Room Tip: A room close to the elevators is always handy after a long day at the Parks

We booked this as a timeshare exchange, and were informed on our arrival of construction that would begin the following day. We woke up early the next morning (7AM-ish) to construction vehicles tearing up the parking lot just below our window. So I was not too pleased with my stay for that reason, but I'm assuming it won't be an issue for all, so here's the rest of my review.

This place is just okay. The one bedroom unit is slightly larger than a regular hotel room. The bedroom side has two queen beds and a TV, and the living room/kitchenette side has a sofa, coffee table, and TV also. There is a divider between the two which is good if you have people sleeping on the sofabed. The kitchenette consists of a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. Everything was clean if very basic. Bathroom was tiny.

There was mandatory valet parking, not sure how much but it was reasonable.

Location is very good for Disneyland, you can walk from the hotel. Lots of restaurants within walking distance as well.

Summation: If you're used to and fine with a Holiday Inn type of place, this will work for you. If not, look elsewhere.

My family and i stayed here for a week and how glad are we that we did!
Upon check in a very friendly young man helped us out from Brea with brown short spiked hair (can't remember name, maybe ) who was wonderful! The valet was so kind and cheerful and such a breath of fresh air after our long road trip. The room was fine, but we didn't spend much time in it, we were having too much fun at Disney and down by the pool. for the time we did spend at the hotel, my kids really enjoyed themselves, such a blessing to us parents! Not only was the pool and ping pong table great activities, but the Activities Coordinator Kami was just wonderful! She saw my son peeping into the Breakfast Room and offered him a Root Beer float, he ran downstairs with such a grin and had his sister and brother run upstairs to get their floats, they stayed up there for about a half hour just chatting with Kami, they really enjoyed her and i appreciate greatly. Thank you to her for taking the time to get to know my kids and letting them unload on her, they couldn't stop talking about her. Thank you staff for really making this trip a real family memory.

We stayed at the Peacock Suites as part of a family reunion and the hotel and staff were wonderful! The rooms, pool, hot tub, pink pong table, fooseball table as well as the proximity to Disneyland and the shuttle made for a great vacation.

The area is undergoing a bit of reconstruction, so it's a little rough right now, but we also walked to Anaheim Marketplace which was a great shopping experience.

We would absolutely stay there again!

Room Tip: The pull-out couch beds are not the most comfortable, but that was the ONLY down side of our stay.
