Peacock Suites in Anaheim is weird.

It's under construction, so they do the best for safety reasons, but even then, it's still weird.
For one thing, there isn't a sign anywhere on the building, on the street, or anywhere indicating where it is. We drove around the block twice to find it. And armed with a GPS, smartphone with a GPS, and a tablet with GPS, we had a hard time locating it. Put a sign out front ya'll!

The lobby is small, but nice. Check in went smooth. Everyone is very nice. Valet is nice, fast, and friendly.

Pool is weird. Breakfast area was weird. Room was nice but weird.

Noise. Everyone talks about it and rightfully so. Tiled entryway and desk area. Here's the thing, it's a pretty brilliant layout, except they put the noisiest furniture right on the tile. All night we can hear the chairs sliding in the room above us. Super thin walls. Very noisy. However the rooms are nicely decorated and everything looked new, clean, and nice. The furniture is nice quality, and doesn't look or feel cheap or lightweight.

City bus runs right by the hotel if you want to buy a pass for $5 per day to drop you off at Disney. However the distance is exactly 1.07 miles (see map in my photos). Easily walkable.

The restaurants around the corner on Katella are good. Roy's, PF Changs, Cheesecake factory. etc...

Unfortunately, we'll avoid this place in the future. Too noisy for us. If you're a sound sleeper, no problem.

Room Tip: Highest floor, least noise.

Thank you for taking the time to complete a Trip Advisor review for our property. We pride ourselves on the service we provide for our guests and will pass on the kind comments to our team. Due to the construction, our breakfast has been moved but after the renovation is complete, we hope that all of our guests will be able to enjoy a newly renovated and expanded Breakfast Room! Thank you again for staying with us, if you are in the Anaheim area again, we would love to have a second chance to impress!

I sent my daughter and husband this last week (12/3 - 5) with their children to this hotel. The room was fine but the hotel was very noisy (elevator, ice machines, people in halls at 2am etc.) They couldn't use the pool because it was blocked for construction. They stayed under our time share plan but if they hadn't, I would want a refund. Might want to look elsewhere.

Room Tip: Not near an elevator or ice machine!

We are disappointed to hear that your family's experience was not a positive one. While we are disappointed to hear that you felt your stay was only mediocre, we appreciate your comments.

My family of four (2 adults and 2 teens, ages 16 & 17) stayed here two nights on 11/17 and 11/18 of 2013. I am a Shell Vacation member and used my points for this place (only reason I chose this property). It is true that this property is under construction, but in my opinion here are the negatives despite construction: Service was mediocre, Front Desk staff seemed uninterested in their customers. Location was not very good for Disneyland. It is a long walk, even for individuals that can walk 3 miles briskly and easily. You can purchase an ART Shuttle pass but that was $20/day for us. Parking is valet only and charges daily. I will say that our room was good, beds were comfortable and although we didn't use it, the room was equipped with a nice kitchenette and dining table. To compare, we also stayed at Hotel Indigo during this trip and it blew Peacock Suites out of the water! They were also under construction, but this didn't hold them back from providing a wonderful service and experience (see my review for Hotel Indigo, Anaheim).

We usually stay right across the street from Disneyland so unfortunately for us the shuttle/parking at Disneyland took away from enjoying more time at the park and you don't have the convenience of heading back to your hotel for a break. The rooms are beautiful newly remodeled with a great layout, pool/hot tubs are nice with a ping pong table our kids enjoyed.

The breakfast menu changed the day we arrived due to the breakfast room location moving and it was awful (packaged pastries/juice). However, the room has basic utensils/toaster/microwave so we headed to Vons up the street and picked up our own breakfast items.

The construction going on isn't annoying but between that and valet it isn't pretty. My recommendation is if you don't mind shuttling to the parks then stay here in March when the place is completely remodeled it will be very very nice.

We had 2 nights comp'ed to us. So we used them on Nov 3rd and 4th. When we checked in and got into our room we were totally taken back. It was beautiful. We had a king suite and it was very nicely laid out. We had windows and it was great. I love light. The bedroom was very nice and we had plenty of room to unpack and hang everything up. I loved having an inroom safe. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub and it was deep. Loved the shower head. All the staff that we encounted, i.e. car valet, front desk, maids, ect. were fantastic. They had great customer service.

The breakfast was just ok. But it filled you up. The room had plently of tables and we did not have a large crowd in there. Could be because we were there on a Monday and Tuesday.

Although there was construction going on at the hotel, we never heard anything.

All I can say is that I was treated like a VIP...Would I stay again, Oh Yea.

Really cute place! Great price, stainless appliances.Super cute decor. It literally has everything we needed, Kitchenette was super helpful. Staff were FANTASTIC, great customer service to us!!! Breakfast was good. Wish the curtains were closer to the window & darker. Construction didnt really effect us. It will be great when its done. pool was kinda small & covered, we wished they had a toddler pool. I totally understand why they have valet parking...the cars are squeezed in pretty tight so its best to leave it to the valets.

Room Tip: We asked for a higher room away from the 2 main roads, less road noise.

Our family stayed in the Peacock Suites for seven days the first week in November 2013.
When I first walked down the hallway, I wondered how the rooms would be as it was apparent that this was an old property. When we arrived in the room we were pleasantly surprised. It was beautifully decorated and very clean.
Each room had two queen beds. We had two rooms with a door in-between. Both rooms had a sofa that made out into a bed. I did not sleep on one, but my son-in-law did and he said it was a miracle foam mattress and quite comfortable.
There was a armoir to hang clothes and a lot of drawers. We put the suitcases on top of the armoir after we unpacked and really felt at home.
There was a "kitchen area" in both rooms, containing a microwave, small fridge, cupboard with four place-settings of plates, bowls, glasses, cups, and silverware. It was perfectly adequate for what we needed. The appliances were modern and clean. Each room also had a nice table with four chairs in the kitchen area. A sliding glass door separated the bedroom and kitchen area.
The bathrooms were not fancy, but adequate. The sinks and counter were separate, nice for multiple people getting ready at the same time. There was a hair dryer and, my personal favorite, a magnifying, lighted mirror on the wall. The kids were excited because there were large flat screen tvs and dvd players in both the bed area and the kitchen area. Between the two rooms we had four tvs. (We never turned ours on.)
The walk to Disneyland is not as short as it sounds. However we walked it all five days with small children and had no problems. In fact, we arrived each night at the same time as the shuttle. There is a charge for the shuttle and for a large family it seemed too pricy. (There is a good deal on the shuttle for retired people.)
The included breakfast is adequate, but nothing special.
The kids enjoyed the pool the one time we were around to get there.
Construction on the hotel makes getting a round a bit difficult, but not bad.
We had been told that we would be paying for valet parking.(After seeing the garages, we could understand why they require valet parking. It is a small area and they really stack the cars in tight.) Online we saw that the rooms were not cleaned daily. My son-in-law booked the rooms through some program he is on. We did not have to pay the valet parking and we did have housecleaning every day.
All in all, we were very pleased with our stay. It was perfect for a large family to be together.
