Visiting Disneyland for the 4th time but had never stayed here before. It was my dream to stay here but coming from Australia and having lots of other expense I just couldn't justify the price over the hotels on Harbour. This time I bit the bullet and I'm glad I did. We stayed a week so quite and expense but the convenience of being right by Downtown Disney and a huge array of restaurants etc. couldn't be beat! The monorail into Tomorrow land was also only about 3 mins away.
We stayed In the Adventure tower overlooking the pool area which was fabulous. Really there is nothing else like it in Anaheim and during the afternoon heat it was certainly a welcome relief to come back to to freshen up. Tricky to get sun lounges or chairs especially on weekends though. The pools are really well supervised with lifeguards too. ( not that they are babysitters!)
In the room there was 2 queen beds ( very comfortable) a sofa bed ( not in every room as our friends room didn't have one) and quite a large bathroom. Mickey touches everywhere which was lovely. The rooms were decorated really well for this hotel.
On check in the kids were given a black and white signed photo of their favourite disney character and characters were walking around the lobby and pool area too.
Housekeeping was slow on some days if you missed the first call usually around 8am. ( put your do not disturb out the night before if you want to sleep in.)
Perhaps the best thing though is the 1 hour early entry every morning to one of the 2 parks. This is so handy and really sets up your day before the rush. We didn't use it every day but we often did and got the headliners out of the way sometimes more than once before the main crowds.
Probably the main problem that we faced was all being in one room for a week but that's not the hotels fault, it was our choice and most folks won't stay as long as we did.
Great hotel for the perks, the pool and convenience. Pricey compared to off site hotels so I guess it's whats important to you and your budget. We will probably stay again but may try the Grand Californian next time.

The worst concierge service I have ever had. Do not stay here. If you must, do not spend the money for the club floor. Rachel is great, but YIKES!!! The view is nice. Our room had been unoccupied for I don't know how long based on the dust, but they made us sit around and wait until "time." Go to The Grand Floridian. Avoid California at all costs!!!

while very expensive this hotel is awesome.Extremely close to the park-our car stayed parked & the decorations & the nostalgia in the lobby were amazing! The Monorail pool was superfun-my daughter loved it & my teenage daughter loved the coffee shop.

Room Tip: wished we'd had a view into Cal.Adventure but we could see the Matterhorn so that was cool

I think this place is loosing its touch. We used to stay here every year when kids were small and stayed here last year with kids and grand kids. But this year stay was very disappointing. They charge for bags of tea but not for coffee. Worse than any place I have been to. Took long time for to get response to calls. The price for the Disneyland keeps on going up and the wait time at each ride anywhere from 30- 60- 120 minutes ,figure how many rides you can get a day . Not worth it. Next year taking Grandkids elsewhere. Exorbitantly overpriced hotel .

Most comfortable bed ever! Location perfect, 5 mins to both parks down through Disney Way with shops and restaurants. Clean rooms, good size. Pool area sheltered. My kids 11 and 10 so the hydro slide a bit tame for them. Front desk, shop assistants at the hotel always happy and helpful but the pool staff seemed aloof and a bit miserable all the time. We were high in Frontierland and had a great view of fireworks from disneyland. Drinks from machine available on all floors but you could not use cash, had to use credit card. Although the shop down at reception does sell drinks for the same price. If you want to order birthday cakes etc you do need to give 3 days notice. Espn and earl of sandwich restaurants within 1 minute. Espn is a sports bar and restaurant whereas we had breakfast at the early of sandwich as had super fresh bacon and egg mcmuffins which were cheap. The breakfast at Disney hotel at disneys kitchen was expensive but fun experience with the characters.

Room Tip: Higher up gives you good view, Frontierland high up has good fireworks view.
