The view was incredible when my family and I went. Right in the middle of the ocean view. But, it needed work. The stairs had hair on it, the garbage disposal smelled like rotting food, and the screen doors were broken. Fix these and I will most certainly come back again!

A wonderful location, nestled above a long quiet beach with outstanding views of the Monterey Bay. Well kept grounds and an above average dining facility, but once in the room we lost interest in ever returning: Paper thin walls allow noise of every quality to hold your attention, whether day or night. Exhaust fans intermittently ran throughout the night, causing a sleep deprived state of anxiety. Approached the front desk personnel in the late hours for an explanation & possible relocation but received a set of shrugged shoulders and a "we'll look into it". Due to the disturbing night's sleep & questionable service we left for home a day early and mentioned the noise issue at checkout. Uninterested desk clerk was not aware of the problem, nor concerned about resolving it for future guests. Followed up with a letter to the manager expressing our concerns, and to this date have not received a response. As a local residence we no longer will consider the resort for the lodging of out of town guests.

The grounds are gorgeous and the view is amazing. The room was pretty bad. Furniture was outdated and uncomfortable. The couch was so worn out that the hide-a-bed was visible. When we sat on it the bar from the bed dug into our legs. The sink was clogged, the toilet seat was chipped, there was a huge gross stain on the chair in the master bedroom.

Customer service wasn't great either. We waited over an hour for room service, because 3 other people had also ordered room service (the property has over 100 suites, and three room service orders put them over capacity). I had also called the concierge 3 days before we checked in to try to arrange a massage. We left 2 messages, she never called back.

The manager at check out did comp our room service, but he wasn't pleasant and seemed a bit defensive. Told us that we were the only ones who have ever been unsatisfied and told us the concierge desk is often unstaffed...implying that we should have known I suppose. This is a great resort for the outdoors, but it certainly isn't a "resort" and I find it overpriced.

Room Tip: Each room is a condo/time share. Our room was further inland and not great. My guess is that if you...

This resort has the most stunning views of a beautiful beach and powerful ocean. The rooms are large and are great for families or couples sharing the condo. The King deluxe Oceanview has stupendous views and access directly to the beach below. The only reason I did not give this five stars was due to the renovations that are currently going on. However, the hotel is so large that the renovations are on the other side and hardly bother the traveler.

The view and location are absolutely perfect. We had a two bedroom villa with ocean view and found that it was very quiet and relaxing. We even had deer feeding outside our sliding glass door. The décor was nice and had a beach feel but the sofa was very uncomfortable and needed to be updated. The bed was very comfortable but the furnishing had a very used feel. The staff was very friendly and service was fast/ Room service was fast and the food good. I would definitely return but would like a better ocean view which may not be possible because we do need a handicap access room.

Room Tip: Room on the north side are very quiet.

Perfect resort for a breathtaking wedding. Romantic location amazing food, fantastic golfing, terrific staff. But and there always is one. A very rude housekeeper on two occasions tried to shove herself and duty cart into an elevator already full of our wedding guests. When we asked her if she could wait for next ride she said no. Hmmm nic sure if the management realizes that this is happening. I will be back though as this is such a romantic getaway.

We recently spent the weekend at a two bedroom villa at Seascape. If I was rating the resort based on location and view- it would be a five star easily! There is no denying the views. As for the suite itself- I was really let down. The two-bedroom was $480 per night. For that I really expected to be wow'ed- luxury was what I was thinking. The room itself was really dated. It is set up like a small townhouse- kitchen, living room, small patio deck with a bbq, two bedrooms. The master had its own bathroom (shower only). Second bedroom was adequate, bathroom in hall and washer/dryer upstairs. The only benefit is that you could have many people stay with you as the living room had a sofa sleeper. Due to the outdated suite- it really felt like an extended stay property. The suite was very clean, but had many things in need of repair. Also, huge disappointment that there is no A/C offered in the room at all. With many people in the living room area, we really could of used air circulation- all we had was the heater and patio door. Not enough on oddly hot days. I have been to resort that offer a similar room setting, but it was updated and included other "free" amenities and was more plush. If we stay in this area again, I would rather just get a room elsewhere than pay the almost $500 a night for something I could find at Homewood Suites or Residence Inn for more than half the cost. The view was beautiful, but not $500 a night beautiful in my opinion. If you are looking for a place on the beach, don't mind the outdated rooms or no A/C then this place is
