We were sent here by our hotel folks. The food is fresh and hot - we got Pepe's Special because we were interested in the CACTUS (yep) and it tastes a little like peppers. It was excellent. My favorite was the unusual pre-meal chips which were light and crunchy served with an outstanding homemade salsa. The service was efficient and steady. I believe the food could use more spice and salt....

On our most recent visit, we actually said in unison that we thought a place like Baja Fresh was better food-wise (with admittedly no ambience) for a much smaller bill. The service was pretty good, but we're all about the food.

We called the night before and were told to come on in. When we arrived 5 minutes later, we were told that they could not serve us. We went for lunch the next day and I was not impressed. The service was terrible! We asked for water, without lemon due to allergies, and the server brought water with lemon. When we asked for a refill, she brought lemon again! The food was average.

Mexican food for me was mainly Taco bell and BJ but this one gave me new taste of it.
Nice choice of food, a bit heavy on pocket compared to other mexican outlets but once you taste it you would not mind it.

I was staying nearby for three weeks and a local couple recommended this place for a good Mexican meal. I initially went for dinner, and the food was good, the service was very good, and the place was nicely decorated, comfortable and filled with locals who apparently walk there from the nearby neighborhood. The parking lot is small, and the place was full. The chips and salsa were fine, and the salsa was toned down "Gringo" style, so it did not bring tears to your eyes. I returned on the following Sunday morning for breakfast as the hotel did not serve early on Sunday. This was a real pleasure. I happen to love juevos rancheros, and these were done to perfection with the right sauce and the right presentation. It would be hard to beat for a tasty and hardy breakfast with top notch service and a very reasonable price. The owners/managers were there in the A.M. and preparing to cater a large "tail gate party for one of the football games nearby. You can't goo wrong for breakfast, and the other meals are quite acceptable, though not quite as exceptional.
