“Trendy, lively, tasty”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

We were two couples passing through Arcata heading north along the coast to view the redwoods. We decided to try this restaurant as it was close by and had good reviews. We ordered the chicken satay, salads, and tacos and found them to be okay. The place was lively and busy, so it took a while to get our food. The contemporary art on the walls was interesting. The food was tasty and fresh, but nothing that I would rate outstanding, especially for the price.

“Unique, Tasty, Thoughtful... Excellent”
Reviewed 10 November 2013 via mobile

3 Foods really hit it on the head on multiple levels. The food was amazing.. Close your eyes good. We got the Mac n cheese and it was such a creative dish, with apple slices, vegetables, nuts and more. The baked Brie, also, was phenomenal. All at reasonable prices and healthy serving sizes. The servers were also friendly.
Most importantly, they care about where the food comes from and about the customers. The free goldfish appetizer and chocolate almonds for dessert were thoughtful. I highly recommend 3 Foods.. And we will be back for sure.

“An Understated Outside... with a unique menu - serving great food”
Reviewed 7 November 2013

Interesting menu with local sourcing. Eenie, Meenie, Miney & Mo (starters - desserts) "cup runneth over" - toasted curry cashews as a starter... main course was "harold and kumar" two mini grass-fed beef burgers mixed with bleu cheese in the patties (wonderful!) bacon, garlicy aioli and spring greens, "drunken bear" - decadent chevre cheese cake drizzled with a blackberry wine reduction is great twist for a remarkable ending.

The redwood plank wall, wall art and the guarding Jay bird almost go in noticed with such an ecclectic menu choice demanding your attention. Knowledgeable waitand friendly staff.

“"Dark and Gruesome" (Is an amazing salad!)”
Reviewed 21 September 2013

Favorite meal we had out during my 2 week trip around Northern California!
Loved the chilled out, eclectic/rustic feel to the place and the food is amazing. Live music was a nice surprise. Definitely recommend the 'Dark and Gruesome Salad'!

“Ecclectic and fun”
Reviewed 31 July 2013

Not your every day, ho-hum restaurant. What I liked the best besides the foods there was the fact that you could see the kitchen and watch the food being made. We had the macaroni and cheese which is NOT your run-of-the-mill mac and cheese dish -- it was incredibly prepared and so flavorful! Nothing like I've ever tasted before. I had the Vietnamese pork and besides it being a little fatty, it was beautifully presented and flavorful as well. There was live music (a solo guitarist) who added to the ambiance. We would go there again and recommend it highly.
