“Dry now... but lovely when full”

It has a great walk/run track around the lake, about 1 mile. On Tuesdays in the summer enjoy BBQ (Tri-tip or chicken) prepared by Elks and sold by various not for profits in the area. Stick around for a Concert in the Park... the community band does a good job in the new Kiwanis Band Pavilion.

“Nice park”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

The park has several outdoor BBQ pits surrounded by picnic tables, restroom facilities close by and a lake to paddle boat around in. The kids can feed the ducks or visit the little zoo which shares the park area. There is also a real nice sandy area where swings and jungle hims and climbing structures have been erected for the kids. A real nice place to spend the day or afternoon with the grandkids.

“An amazing place to relax.”
Reviewed 4 January 2014 via mobile

When I lived in Atascadero, CA this was the palace to go to relax. I remember when I lived there, I went to 2 father-daughter dances, and they were both at the lake house. It was an amazing experience. I am definitely going to visit this place when I go to California this year.

“Summer BBQ and Music at the Park”
Reviewed 22 August 2013

Atascadero Lake Park is great for many reasons. The walk around the lake is a mile and is great for all ages. In the summer, there is music and BBQ at the park and paddle boats to rent. It is a nice cool, green grass respite from the hot summer days in Atascadero. Wonderful kiddie area with lots of swings and climbing structures. The large shade trees keep it cool. You can reserve BBQ areas with the City. And the Zoo is there too!
