This places has it all, burgers, pies, fresh fruits and vegetables etc. It can get very busy and the parking is limited. If you don't need a burger then head out down highway 80 west and just before Davis is another location with pies, freezes and tamales and of course the fruit stand.

This is a local tradition - and an 'on the way to Tahoe' stop tradition. It's a fruit/veg stand, fresh pie shop, gourmet goods and burger/sandwich grill (with teriyaki bowls and other options).

Stop for a fresh fruit pie - they are usually still WARM and oh-so-good. I love the peach, my friends swear by the blueberry. They also sell bake-at-home pies (including chicken pot pie!), wine, gourmet snacks, nuts, oils, fruits, candies...as well as drinks.

The 'cafe/burger stand' side of the business has made to order burgers, hot sandwiches and rice bowls. The onion rings are amazing as are the milkshakes! You can sit inside or out - it's often busy, especially on Fridays as people drive up from the Bay Area but it's a great place to stop (kids love eating here too).

We ALWAYS stop at Ikeda's when traveling in the area. Great cheeseburgers, great fresh fruit pies, and our favorite chipotle BBQ sauce to take with us. We miss the smoothies they used to serve outdoors before the health Nazis made them stop, but a limited (it seems) version is still available inside.

We've eaten here a few times now. The burgers are very good. The pies and cobbler are even better. Prices are high, but it's still a fun place to visit. While waiting for your food, explore the store. They have a fun selections of sauces, baked goods, fresh fruits and vegetables and other goodies.

Ikeda's is a treasure. Best homemade pies, chicken pot pies, sauces, hamburgers and much more. The best fresh fruits and vegetables around. Everyone needs to experience Ikeda's.
