Small and unimpressive, and might not be worth it on its own, but as an add-on to the Casino Tour ($3 more), it might be worth a stop.

Museum is small but informative. Lots of interesting things to read about and several videos. What I enjoyed most was the gift shop. They have great gifty items and unique pieces. The surfboard art is amazing and reasonably priced. The ladies working there were VERY friendly and knowledgeable.

When we visited, they had an exhibit showing George Harrison of the Beatles photos. Most of the other exhibits were of old-time Hollywood celebrities who visited or lived there (Marilyn Monroe!). Great videos with Charlie Chaplin and his 3rd wife - Paulette Goddard. They are building a new facility opening fall 2014 - so watch for that change.

A very nice gift shop with Catalina island stuff and lots of Chicago Cubs stuff as (since Wrigley owned Catalina and the team).

It is difficult to take good photos in the museum. They always do a good job with their displays and videos. At times the air conditioner needs to be turned up, but hey, it is really worth the time.

For $5 you get to walk through a couple of rooms full of recreated photos from the founders and other rich and famous people who have visited the island. Where were all the artifacts indigenous to the island itself? It just seemed to be a self indulgent way of telling everyone of all the money that has come to the island over the years. I was in and out of the museum in less than five minutes. Very disappointed!
