This rustic, but impeccably clean, neat, and comfortable bed and breakfast hotel is simply a must for a visit to this Rocky Mountain area. The owners are delightful and make you feel like welcome guests. The log structure is beautiful, spacious, and filled with so many amenities to help fill your time here, from the large chess set to a movie room, hot tub, comfy sitting areas, and complimentary tea, hot chocolate, and coffee all day. I could easily settle in to this place and call it home. It's simply beautiful! Breakfast is family style, so get there quick! They do have wifi, but your cell phone won't work and don't expect tv...this is a place to curl up with a good book or the Denver Post.

Room Tip: Some rooms must share a bath down the hall, but that just makes it feel more like a home! We did hav...

The lodge is beatutiful! The location is beautiful and no distractions no cell service no TV. The owners are super friendly and the breakfast was very good every mornning. We stayed in "The Apartment" I loved our own little space! However the bed was very uncomfortable my husband and I did not have restful sleep due to this. I would highly recomend this B&B only would suggest new bed in that room. The peaceful new fallen snow The quite we will stay there again.

Room Tip: The Apartment had a balcony private kitchen/bath but we found the bed very uncomfortable.

If you are looking for a place to disconnect and get away from the stress of every day life, this is the place. Owners Bill and Juanita go the extra mile to make the stay cozy and delightful. It is wonderful to be able to experience the charm and sanctuary of a rustic mountain lodge amid the noise of today's frenetic pace of life.

The Lodge rooms are cozy, clean and comfortable and the service is great. Keep in mind that there is no TV, wifi or cell service, and kids under 14 are not allowed, but for those who want a quiet place to relax and disconnect, the experience is perfect.

Each morning, you get a wonderful family style breakfast, and a wealth of info about the area and all the activities you can do to blend outdoor recreation with relaxation. We were able to enjoy two days of snowshoeing. Rocky Mountain Natl park, Estes Park and Lyons are all close by and ready to explore.

We only stayed for a quick overnight while attending a wedding at the nearby Wild Basin, but our room was clean and cozy. The place is woody and quaint and exactly what you'd imagine an old mountain lodge to be like. The owners were very sweet and made us a packed breakfast to go since we had to dash in the morning for a flight out of DIA. I wouldn't stay here if you're a "keep to yourself" type, though, as the owners seem to like to connect with the visitors. That was great with us.

It's fun to support small lodge owners too. Give 'em a try!

Just returned from a wonderful weekend retreat with 17 friends - quilters all! The lodge is amazing - the food out of the world. I can't say enough about the fun we had with owners Bill and Juanita. We truly felt like we were guests in their home.

This is a perfect destination for couples, families and crafting/quilting groups like ours. The large room for group gatherings has ample light and space.

Gathering in front of wood burning stoves in cozy living rooms is a special extra.

Be sure to ask Juanita about her mustangs and horse whispering!

Just spent the week-end with my quilt group at the Allenspark Lodge. We had a relaxing and fun week-end. Bill and Juanita made us feel like we were home with them in their lodge located in Allenspark, Colorado. They made the most wonderful, delicious food. It made my mouth water just smelling it every meal. The food was amazing and if you were still hungry, it's your own fault. Everything was so enjoyable, from the food, to the dog Sofia and the Dove cooing, to enjoying our time sewing in the sunroom. The rooms were clean and nice. I highly recommend you checking out this lodge if you plan to stay in Colorado up in the Rocky Mountain Park area.

Room Tip: The honeymoon room is so lovely!

Finding the lodge on the Internet in 2008 was a blessing! I wrote in the log book of Room 20 that this was my idea of what a lodge should be.

That first, of many, visits was made with the fall colors of Colorado beckoning me to hike or take rides even farther on into Rocky Mountain National Park. Locally there are two entrances into The Park where hiking trails offer splended exercise along with the scenery: tall, healthy trees; gratifying mountain views; wildlife; and a roiling stream forming cascades and waterfalls.

In the lodge area, one can rent horses for local trail rides. Various members of my family and I have enjoyed this activity with the bonus of pleasant wranglers, wonderful views, and (of course) accommodating horses.

My family, with grandchildren old enough to be able to be registered at the lodge, has returned many times. Perhaps Room 20 will always be my favorite because it was my first, but with more of us on a visit, we've found The Apartment to suit our needs very well and comfortably.

Our group has always expected a rustic charm in a mountain lodge, and we have not been disappointed in this historic structure hosted by Juanita and Bill. As for the delicious breakfasts, they have always presented such a variety of dishes that each member of our family comes away warm and ready for the day's activities.

We've always enjoyed meeting other guests, many who are from outside the USA, and often a table conversation can linger long after the food has been consumed. Continuations can take place while sitting in the game room or Great Room, even during hikes, or while merely rocking on the balcony.

In choosing a place in the mountains with a change from city life and style, we have expected hospitality, cozy accommodations, and tasty breakfasts; we have not been disappointed.

Therefore, my family members, singly or in groups, have now enjoyed the offerings of Allenspark Lodge Bed and Breakfast for seasons of 6 years.
