“Perfect for families”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

My husband and kids just love this place, its breakfast, and its warm, friendly, welcoming staff. The rooms are small, but the lobby is lovely, and the wifi works well all over the facility. This is a great place to stay and see beautiful Aspen!

Only room we could find for a one night stay under $400 and it was perfect. Tom at the front desk offered us free wine upon arrival and told us about town. He was Very friendly and made Ua feel welcome. Recommended some good restaurants. Room was tiny but it's all we needed. Great location. Will definitely stay here again.

I chose St Moritz for the price, but will return because of their level of service. Tom greeted us at the front desk on arrival and was quick to offer suggestions and directions (as well as a few little extras at various times, like cookies and wine). We stayed in a hotel room in view of Ajax mountain overlooking the pool. The room was comfortably furnished, but like many in town had a ceiling fan instead of AC. There was coffee in the lobby and a decent breakfast in the room below that varied by day. On-site parking was convenient and it was an easy walk to downtown restaurants and nightlife.

Room Tip: Rooms varied. Choose your budget, from hostel to hotel rooms to suites!

We stumbled onto the St. Moritz by accident! Just searching for a room in Aspen. Well we found not only a nice room, but a very quaint European style lodge. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very hospitable (including the Red Fox that visited the courtyard several times daily!). The small kitchenette was handy and saved us some money we would have spent in a restaurant. The location was on the edge of town and gave us the feel of being in the country, but were only minutes away from downtown!

We would stay there again and would recommend the St. Moritz to our friends! Try it, I think you will like it!

Room Tip: We asked for a ground floor room and got a room by the pool. No problems and excellent view!

We stayed in one of the hotel rooms for 3 nights over the fourth of July and really enjoyed ourselves. Our room was small but had a nice TV with a big closet and a fridge. We also had a bay window reading area overlooking the pool wich was very nice. Because of the dorm rooms there are always a few people around the lobby and pool which adds a little charachter. The staff is helpful, the breakfast is decent (no hot food) and though the place is a bit dated it's clean. The little suites with kitchenettes will be where we stay next time we're in town. I think the St. Moritz has big return rate and is like a secret fishing hole, people don't want too many others to know about this place. Don't let Aspen scare you. You can stay here for a good price, cook your own food or there are plenty of reasonable priced places to eat along with tons of free adventure to be had. We fell in love with Aspen.

Room Tip: Get a room over the pool unless you don't like people. The bay windows are a nice place to sit.

We found this place to be the cheapest place in town to stay at. I got in touch with them before we made the reservation, to ask if they already had breakfast included which wasn't the case, however they offered us a lower rate than on the website.

The outside of the building doesn't look too promising but the rooms are great. The bathroom was a bit outdated but the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. We also took a plunge in the pool and used the steamroom, which were just fine. The pool was very refreshing after a long hike and bike ride.

The location is very good as well, just a couple of blocks walking from town but quiet at the end of the street. If you want good value, consider to stay here!

We stayed here on our visit to Aspen, May 2013. It didn't look like much from the outside. But the rooms were oh - so cosy. I believe all of the rooms have bay windows that look over the mountains. The rooms were clean and the style is a cross between a country cottage and a log cabin. Bathrooms were clean but a bit retro (tiles etc), which I guess added to the room element. Since we went during the off-season, they didn't have breakfast, but coffee was available in the lobby. The staff were uber friendly and the place felt so much like staying in someone's home. So peaceful and relaxing! Love this place! And I thought the prices were great for Aspen.
