Don't miss a ride to the top in this comfortable gondola. Great photo ops! Be careful to pick a sunny time of day. It is not as pleasant in bad weather.

“Great Deal”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

If you're going to be in Aspen for at least 3 days, I recommend getting the 3 day pass. You can ride to the top of the mountain on 3 consecutive days, plus you get bus tickets for the trip to Maroon Bells, PLUS you get vouchers for $10 of food. Plus, there's plenty to do and see at the top of the mountain, particularly if you have kids: EuroBungie, bean bag toss, frisbee golf, hula-hoops. Oh, and the hiking and scenery are great, too!

“Spectacular views”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

It's a lovely ride up and down the mountain in the gondola with beautiful views along the way. We took our golden retriever with us - yes, they allow dogs in certain gondola cars (they are identified by a paw print on the side of the gondola.) Once at the top there is a lovely gentle trail with beautiful views of the surrounding mountain ranges. P.S. The dog rode for free ;-)

“Plan to spend several hours!”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

Yes the cost to ride the gondola is a bit much at $19.00 per person, so plan to spend several hours - also - a bottle of water is $3.75 - so come prepared with your own snacks & water & sun screen - remember sun screen and hats! There is an easy Nature Hike worth the hike to see the views at the top. This is where you'll need the sun screen and the hat! Easy enough hike to do in tennis shoes. Well worth the cost of the trip! Lots for the kids to do after the ride - lots of areas for the kids to run.

“Slow, slow, slow...”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

The gondola was renovated many years ago. The update was sorely needed. The cars are now comfortable and spacious. The red cars even have an jack to attach your iPhone/ipod (iPhone 4 unfortunately). The problem is that they did not replace the towers, cables, or motor when they renovated the gondola. A ride to the top, at best, takes 15 minutes and sometimes can take 25 minutes. Plan your day accordingly if you want to get a lot of skiing in. You just may want to stay at the top of the mountain.
