great dining room, well appointed, great menu and outstanding winelist, complete with a great, helpful and attentive sommelier.
Every dish was special, the slow roasted lamb shank, sublime, the house made pasta with black pepper and carbonara ingredients, with a twist, was wonderful, pork belly as an appetizer still lingering as a happy memory. Seriously delicious meal.

Among the many fine restaurants in Aspen, Ellina became our favorite. The restaurant is small and cozy, the staff is friendly but not overbearing. The food is superbly prepared and worthy of multiple visits. Prices are high--well, you get what you pay for. A gem of a restaurant in a gem of a resort!

We came here based on all the raving reviews expecting upscale prices. The service was knowledgeable and attentive. The food chosen was good but did not live up to the high prices (even considering ASPEN standards) : $ 26.00 for a small artichoke heart? The scallops served were soft and tender just like they should be - at $ 26.00 for 4 small ones! The lamb leg was good but nothing that special - $ 48.00? Out of curiosity we ordered the Pork Belly appetizer - this was clearly a mis, being chewy with the taste of bad rips :-(

We paid $ 100 pP for a party of 4 ( 2 splitting a main course, one having n appetizer as main, one dessert for 4, 3 appetizers). Overall, we did enjoy the setting and service but the prices are way OFF - will not be back!

A group of 9 friends and collegues came to celebrate here at Ellina. The night started well, food and service was good. For the main course my collegues ordered 2 bottles of ‘Kathryn Hall’, Napa Valley Cabernet at $178.00 each - delightful drinking. As the meal progressed the service became wanting. After 2 attempts to get water refills and 2 more glasses of the wine I had to ask the Amazon looking maitre de "look it's the 3rd time we've asked for it but it's not being served" ........She rolled her eyes and me and turned away with a "HUFF". - the nerve!! When the check came, about $920, they'd only charge for the 2 glasses and not the 2 bottles of wine "THAT'S REALLY NICE OF THEM WE THOUGHT" AND SWEEEEEET REVENGE . WE'D LIKE TO THANK THE STAFF FOR THE $356 DISCOUNT - I bet the owners don't know about this mistake!!!!!!!!!

This place is perfect to satisfy your cravings for fine Italian food. The main dining room has stone walls that give a rustic feel and there is also a good size bar if you prefer to eat there. Pastas are fresh, prepared on premises, meats are tender, great sauces and gravies. No worry about leaving there hungry, portions are fit for a king.
