The snow melt had the creek roaring and some overflow on parts of trail. Very scenic and pretty tough climb up that opens into a beautiful and fairly flat meadow. We saw elk last year but no sightings this year.

We hiked this trail for around 4 hours in the middle of December, it was gorgeous. We had the trail all to ourselves, and enjoyed the solitude and beautiful winter landscapes. We parked on the street near the Aspen Art Museum. We used Yak-Tracks and hiking boots, and this combo worked well. Great free option right in the heart of Aspen.

We have done this trail several times and it is gorgeous - streams, trees, meadows, Aspens and Cottonwoods everywhere. Love it!!!

The road to Hunter Creek was closed but we managed to find our way to this trail. There is much to see and highly recommend this trail.

My wife and I stumbled upon this trail accidentally while out for a walk and decided to hike it. Needless to say, we are so glad we did. It is a beautiful vertical hike up the side of the hill that follows the creek as it cascades down the hillside. Definitely worth it. We took many amazing photos of the trees and water
