We enjoyed the scenery along the path during our walks. Easy trail, quiet and very refreshing. Will definitely go for longer distance if time permits.

A great local hike. While crowded the scenery was great. When we were there there was some construction and some areas were closed but they did there best to accomodate visitors.

We rode 1 speed bikes on the trail and it was fun to see the surrounding area of Aspen. Beautiful homes, cool trees, cold streams/river, etc. Only problem is riding back up the hill on a 1 speed bike. Be ready for some exercise :-)

Nice gravel and some concrete trail that leaves from a couple of blocks north of the Aspen Library just off Mill Street. We only walked a few miles, but I was told you could bike primarily downhill to Glenwood Springs, then put your bike on the RFTA bus and ride back to Aspen in comfort. You probably can do this at intermediate places, such as Basalt.

This is a 42 mile ride starting in downtown Glenwood Springs and ending in downtown Aspen. We parked overnight for free in Glenwood on 7th by the police station and the trail was a 100 yards away. The trail ends in Aspen a few blocks from a number of hotels. The trail goes up 2000 ft over the 42 miles so it is not tough but there are very few spots to coast, on the other hand the trip back was relaxing (5.5 hours there, 4 hours back). The trail follows the Roaring Forks river quite a bit of the way. We went in mid-October and the foliage was beautiful. The trail is paved 90% of the way with maybe 4 miles on the Aspen end being on packed cinder. I'd recommend this ride to everybody.
