“Heaven's waiting room”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2014

It's got history, and scenery, and the power of nature at its most raw and beautiful. I'm an artist and just could. It get enough time at the summit taking photos and painting. There's something very spiritual and at 12,000 feet literally breathtaking about the place. Good road, and a toilet at the top. What more could you want!!

“I went just to freak out my mom.”

30 years ago, the roads were crumbling of the edge. My dad took the RV up anyway. They've pared those crumbly places to a much more stable single lane. Drive slowly, not just for safely, but to enjoy an absolutely gorgeous, winding drive.

“Wow!”

A "shouldn't be missed" destination when doing a road trip around this area. Stunning views, great switchbacks. It's just plain cool.
