“High energy popular trattoria - not to be missed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2014

Crowds are flocking to this terrific Italian restaurant which is wooing people with its flavorful dishes and generous portions. One can choose from great appetizers, stuffed breads, thin, crispy pizzas or homemade pastas, risottos, ravioli,as well as veal, beef and chicken Italian style. Wine list has some gems on it and a great by the glass selection as well. Plenty of good beers and mixed drinks too.

“Surprisingly Good Italian Trattoria Fare”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2014

This isn't the very 'best' Italian food in Aspen, but it comes darn close! Excellent pizza - the one featuring mushrooms is particularly tasty. And the calzone benefits from a spectacular presentation on its wooden peel. One of my guests had an excellent ravioli. The arugula salad was unique as well as excellent. The list of bottled beers available is extensive; too bad they don't offer any selections on tap. Service is correct and reasonably knowledgeable. Prices are slightly on the high side, but all in all, good value for the money.

Unfortunately, the bread service is skimpy. The restaurant is pretty noisy when it's crowded. And the lighting is variable: some tables are well lit, while others are not. We almost walked out when the coat check girl told one of my guests that he could not take his coat to the table - he was chilly. She claimed it was it was 'the restaurant's policy'. We didn't check with management; had it been policy, that would have been a deal breaker for us!

“Fabulous meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 January 2014

Acquolina was certainly one of the best meals we had in Aspen, excellent Italian food, we shared the seared Lamb as a starter amazing very tender and full of flavour, main courses of veal chop and Rissotto where excellent too as was the espresso, there was no room for pudding . Good service from very pleasant staff in a vibrant restaurant, reservations are a must.

“Excellent Italian food with large menu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 January 2014 via mobile

The food and service here is excellent and will cater for all tastes. We had the Milanese veal chop and the oso buco and both dishes were as good as you would have anywhere. A busy and fun place with great food.
