This is the best location for a wedding venue. Beauty and tranquility are abundant. Fabulous accommodations, food and service. We had a one bedroom mountain view. There was ample space to rest, eat and have guests visit. Unit layout is great. The bed was extremely comfortable and very cozy. There is a very small refrigerator and a larger one would have been convenient.

Room Tip: Rooms with a mountain view are more expensive yet all views are great. No elevators if you are on th...

I will list the things I likes and dislikes below:-
what I liked ?
1- the location.
2- the rooms, I booked a suite with a king size bed and a balcony. it is very simple and comfortable the furniture and the colors of the interior is just cool and relaxing.
3- the health club is awesome with a big outdoor swimming pool and a hot top too. the mountains surrounding the resort are just amazing and the views are incredible.
4- there is a free rent bicycles.
5- you can go to the river walking or with the bicycle through a trail.

what I didn't like is
1- the restaurant is very pricy although they don't offer much. it is just a standard breakfast.

just go and don't hesitate you will never regret it.

what you need with you
swimming suit (Coz I forgot mine)
a camera
babies will not be happy at all, I believe you shouldn't take any babies with you.

Room Tip: I booked a mountain view suites with a balcony . it is very big and nice

My friend, from out of town, and I recently stayed here after booking on Priceline. I guess it was our own fault for booking under a blind bid. It's too bad this hotel can get away with saying downtown Aspen because they are a few miles outside. They do offer a free shuttle service to town but it is so unreliable. We waited an extra 20 minutes downtown when they told us they would be right there. Luckily the concierge at Hotel Jerome felt bad enough for us to give us a ride back. The hotel itself is fine. The beds and bathroom were clean, which is all I can ask. The walls, though, are paper thin and the maids and maintenance men were working early. The other thing that really bothered us was the $18 resort charge, which was explained to me as covering the shuttle service, breakfast, and health club. But then no breakfast was offered. I don't mind paying for it but please acknowledge the charge before my credit card has been charged through Priceline and I cannot cancel the reservation. The front desk agent was sympathetic and said she has mentioned to the manager about the charge but he will do nothing about it. Great customer service! Will definitely be staying elsewhere in Aspen from now on.

Dear Lindsx11x,

Thank you for your reservation and for taking the time to share your experience. The Aspen Meadows Resort is located in Aspen’s historic west end, a mile and a half from the town center. My sincere apologies that there was an incident of delay for your town shuttle pick up; our shuttle service is usually very reliable. The nightly $18 resort fee is a mandatory charge of which notification can unfortunately be easily missed during the online travel agent booking process. Although the resort services fee does not include breakfast, it does cover the following hotel amenities: parking, property wide Wi-Fi, shuttle service to and from downtown Aspen and the Aspen Airport, use of our Health Club and tennis center. We also offer the following seasonal amenities: bicycles, tennis equipment, snow shoes, and overnight on mountain ski/snowboard equipment storage and intermountain transfers. I regret not meeting your expectations and invite you to contact me if you have any additional concerns to review. My direct telephone number is (970) 544-7811.

Sincerely,
Jud Hawk

The furniture is starting to show wear and tear, and is not being maintained. We've stayed here at least twice before, and it just appears that they are not maintaining it the way they should be. The sink had water stains around the bases of the taps. The soap dish had water stains. There was a piece of rag stuck to the sink faucet. The laminate furniture is starting to delaminate and is stained in places.

Spent a fantastic Friday night at the Meadows in a beautifully appointed suite with plenty of room for our 2 grandchildren and yorkie 'Einstein'. Dinner at Plato's was heavenly and all of us had a most amazing evening. It is definitely on tap for a return visit and hopefully a longer one. Can't wait to see the spring and summer flowers along their miles of walking trails.

Dear Neal46,

Thank you for choosing the Aspen Meadows Resort for your brief family retreat. We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and were able to take advantage of Plato’s, our hidden dining gem.
For your next visit, can I suggest taking Einstein for a walk through the nearby Aspen Center for Physics? Do come back and stay with us again and for longer next time!

Place is nice and clean, location nice and quiet, grounds are nice (if you don't look around corners), scenic depending where your room is, and staff is very hospitable. It is rightly named a "resort" rather than hotel, and there is a difference.
People considering a stay should know there's an outdoor walk of 100-200 yards from the parking area to any of the buildings (staff will help via golf cart when you have luggage but plan time for this). You feel like you're walking into a dorm/apartment building when you enter the lodging buildings. Rooms are nice and clean, bath areas really wonderful, but rooms overall are quirky...lots of open space, one chair which is the worst you can imagine (if you don't already have back problems you will after an hour in one of these "modern" chairs, and you'll fall like you've fallen down first time you sit in it), insufficient lighting when it's dark outside. No elevators, so if you have trouble with stairs ask for a lower level room. And we should mention pets...there was a dog barking from another room in our "dorm" hall and since space under the doors is an inch+ that sound is heard easily by others. There's no AC in the room, but that's rarely needed in Aspen...open the huge windows and enjoy clean mountain air!
These folks are doing the best possible with what they have to work with, which is commendable but some of these details should be provided during the reservation process. The price of this resort is generally lower than other Aspen lodging, as it should be in our opinion, so that makes this a decent deal.

Room Tip: No elevators so ask for a lower level room if you have trouble with stairs.
