We stayed in room 346 in August 2013. We noted that it was our anniversary on our reservation and, at check-in, we received a complimentary upgrade from the standard king. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. A bottle of Champaign and chocolate dipped strawberries were waiting for us when we later returned to our room.

We have now stayed at all the luxury hotels in Aspen and thrilled to report that the Hotel Jerome is the best hotel in town. We were excited to see the renovation which we had heard had transformed the hotel.

It wasn't just a physical transformation but also one that added a new energy and professionalism. It started from the friendly greeting at the airport to our departure, all of our expectations were exceeded. In a short time it felt like the staff new our names and personalized every interaction. Leslie at the restaurant, Stephanie at the bar/living room and the J-Bar team of professionals provided some of the best service we have received in our travels.

We stayed for 5 days and ate at the restaurant 3 nights and nearly lunch and breakfast daily it was superb! The culinary team went out of their way to accomodate our groups vegetarian menu requests without skipping a beat the food was exceptionally prepared!

We hiked, biked and fly fished enjoying all the outdoor activities of the destination. Apsen is a one of a kind destination and the hotel Jerome is a one of a kind hotel! Kudos to the management for creating such a memorable stay for us. We will be back!

Although we have spent a good deal of time in the Aspen area over the years, most of it has been at private homes and condo rentals, so this was my first time staying at the Jerome. We've eaten there and had cocktails there, but not since the remodel. We were very pleased! First, I must say that I really enjoyed the interior design. The hotel felt refreshed and updated and modern, but still very much in keeping with the history of the building and of Aspen. The vibe was sort of "robber-barn private railway car," which was appropriate and luxurious. The service in the (beautiful) living room bar was excellent-- a very good jazz quintet was playing when we arrived after dinner, and seats were pretty full, but the staff made an enormous effort to make us feel welcome and to creatively find seats for us. We noticed them doing this for other customers, as well, and it was a welcome departure from other hip venues, where you might have been left standing in a corner, trying to catch someone's eye for service. It really felt as though they wanted you to be there. Our room, while not terribly large, was very well laid out, with great extras, like a charging station and a thoughtful mini-bar. The bathroom was huge and bright, and the bed was well-linened and comfortable. I especially liked the lighting design in the room-- there were all sorts of lamp options (including two at each bedside), so you could light the whole space or create pools of warm light and task light. Little touches like that made the room feel more like home than an impersonal space. Breakfast/brunch at the hotel was delicious, and we had friendly service and great people-watching under an umbrella in the courtyard. My only complaint is that we had not made a reservation and were told that only one table was available to us (near the street) because the others all had to be held for reservations. Yet in the entire time we were eating, only about half of those tables filled up. Not a big complaint, though, as the menu was creative and the food was tasty. All in all, a great one-night-stay to cap off a week in the mountains.

I was going to stay at the Hotel Jerome, but I tried it out for breakfast and the service was poor. I won't bore you with the details, but I would sum it up saying there were five significant mistakes at our table for two and it wasn't just a matter of one bad waiter. In addition, the breakfast menu was stark but the presentation was good.

Hotel Jerome is a beautiful hotel and the bar is one of the best I have ever seen, but it's as if it is staffed by college students with no experience (I have no idea if that is really the case). It lacks all polish and professionalism.

We had a fantastic 4 night stay at the Jerome. Aspen in the summer is wonderful and the Jerome definitely added to the experience. I stayed here a number of years ago and my memory served me very well. A re-model of the hotel in 2011 (?) has made it even better. The on property restaurant "Prospect" is fantastic. Our King room was large and very comfortable. Service from all the staff throughout was great. Some hints - we rented a car and it turned out not to be necessary. The hotel provides transport from the airport and much of what we wanted to do/see was easily accessible. For kids, there's a well equipped game room. The exercise room is well appointed though a bit small. Just jog the Rio Grande Trail anyway!

This was our first visit to the Jerome since the remodel, and we were concerned that the Auberge group might tarnish the vibe and service at the spot that has long been the flagship of historic hotels everywhere and an Aspen icon. They have not. The new dining and lobby areas are functional, comfortable and great. The service and staff remain as close to perfect as you are likely to encounter at any expensive, five star property anywhere in the world. Our room was stylish, comfortable and beautifully redecorated (we faced north, and it was quiet even in the Aspen madness). The best things (other than the breakfast service) are that they did not screw-up the pool area or the J Bar. Every person or company that thinks they want to run an historic propery should be required to do an apprenticeship at the Jerome.

I was at a conference for 50 women over this past week-end and can honestly say from an experience point of view it was perfect. The staff were on the ball but not in your face. The facilities were great.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, mini bar well stocked and most items complimentary.

Of course aspen is beautiful with amazing shopping, farmers markets on Saturday and the summer art fair was on.
All of this on the doorstep of the Jerome. Efficient airport transfers as well.
