“Customer service....great food”

We had lunch here based on the reviews of others on trip advisor. Everyone was very friendly and seemed pleased to interact and make suggestions. Staff seemed happy and conversational .....we loved the tomato basil soup, the chicken salad and tuna salad.......absolutely fresh and the decor was charming. We are so glad that we found this early during our vacation on AMI. We will be back......don't miss this.......

“Our new favorite breakfast spot!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2014

We've been visiting AMI for years. We've watched the evolution of Ginny &Janes. On a recent trip, we decided to eat here. We were kind of blown away by the quality and taste of the food. Everything they serve is fresh and delicious! The Creperie used to be our favorite breakfast spot, but I think we've found a new one. We also love the quirkiness and ingenuity of the place. Free wifi and good coffee just adds to the charm.

“Creme Brulee French Toast is a must!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

We stay on AMI a couple times a year and we definitely have to visit Ginny & Jane E's each time. I love the quirkiness of it being a gift/vintage shop and cafe. Their unique tables are spread out through the back half of the store/cafe, amidst their wares for sale. (The tables are 'first come, first serve' situation.) They have local art/framed photos, vintage books, tiki, tropical, country, shabby chic decorations. You go up to the counter in the back and place your order. The hot coffee is on the side wall, towards the bathrooms and you have free refills. And with this last visit, I ordered iced coffee and was also told that it too had free refills. Sweet! Each time we go we MUST get the creme brulee french toast. It is simply amazing. It is worth the calories. We enjoyed our omelettes and toast as well (they definitely do not skimp on the buttering of the bread.) A long walk on the beach is definitely needed after each time we eat there. Luckily, they are just a block away from the beach. :-)
It can get very busy/crowded on weekends, so we only went on a weekday morning.
My only negative would just be patrons not bussing their tables as they are supposed to do. Also it would be awesome if there was a more open area, more direct paths, to maneuver from your table to the counter.
Ginny & Jane E's will continue to be a 'must do' each time we visit and that definitely includes that creme brulee french toast.

“Great lunch spot”

Tasty wraps, salads, sandwiches and paninis. Ginny & Jane's is an easy lunch spot and a neat shop. Prices were reasonable and food was tasty! We stop here whenever we are visiting the island.

“Yum! We went three times in a week it was so good.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

Have just returned from our first visit to Anna Maria Island and felt I must write a review of fabulous cafe/shop.

The inside is very quirky as it is part shop, part cafe. Some reviewers have been very negative about the ordering system, but we found it very easy and the staff are more than happy to let you take your time. Basically you chose from the multitude of options on the blackboards above the serving hatch. Place your order with the server at the till, get given one of those buzzing coaster things, find somewhere to sit and wait for the buzzer to go off. You then go to the serving hatch and collect your food. Even when it was really busy at the weekend we had no problem with finding somewhere to sit and service was still very fast.

The breakfasts on offer were delicious. It was my kids first experience of waffles in the US and they were not disappointed. We can also recommend the creme brulee french toast, the omlettes and the bacon and eggs. The cinnamon buns are enormous and absolutely divine. I'd like to say I couldn't eat a whole one, but I'd be lying! Coffee is unlimited refils, including the iced coffee. Very reasonably priced and I only wish I didn't live a nine hour flight away.
