We stayed at the Inn for 2 nights in August. Our second floor room was very comfortable, and we loved sitting on the veranda. The Inn has a lovely breakfast, and we took full advantage of the yellow bikes to explore the area. Be sure to walk across the street to visit the cemetary where the Coombs are buried. Apalachicola has lots of history, fun shops and the resturants will satisfy anyone wanting to sample all kinds of delicious oysters! Finally, the staff at the Inn make every effort to ensure you have a wonderful and relaxing visit! Thank you!

Perfect location for us since we love B&Bs! It was a more high end place rather than quaint like most B&Bs. It is full of history. We stayed in the Hemingway Suite and we loved it! We had a jacuzzi and a sitting room. Breakfast the next morning was a mixture of a very nice continental style bar and homemade quiche. It was wonderful! We loved Apalachicola in general and would love to bring the family back to visit!

Well, this place was amazing- and great for people traveling with dogs. They were so friendly and accommodating and everything was clean yet fit the atmosphere of the house and the town perfectly. The Inn is within walking distance of delicious restaurants, cafes, and a wonderful coffee house with divine baked goods and gelato. Also, the historic walking tour of Apalachicola was fun and informative- you can download it to a smartphone off the inn's website. We found all staff to be friendly and helpful. Plus, the Piggly-Wiggly is nearby and the road to St. George Island and the beach is also close. Loved it and hope to come back soon!

Room Tip: If you bring your dog, you can't stay in the main house, however, this should not stop you from...

We were there for three days and it far exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very courteous. The only negative thing was the rooms size. There were very few rooms available when we booked our trip, so we had a queen size bed. Having slept in a king bed for 30+ years, it was a little uncomfortable for us. We did see the other king rooms and they looked lovely - although they were booked. If we go back, will definitely book a king/Jacuzzi room.

Room Tip: Would recommend a king room.

We had a great time, in spite of all the rain! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were very nice. We did find out that we could have obtained a better rate and would have had a more informed chioce of rooms by calling the Coombs House directly instead of using an online reservation service.

Room Tip: Call the Coombs Inn directly to get the best choice of rooms!

Our three day visit to the Coombs House Inn far surpassed our expectations. Our accommodations were extremely comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Each day we were served a different and delicious gourmet breakfast. The owners and staff were gracious and so helpful---explaining the history of the inn and the surrounding sites. They also recommended many good restaurants. We definitely plan to return again. Such kind and individual treatment was greatly appreciated! Norene and Larry Taylor

Room Tip: Lovely claw foot tub in the Tupelo room.
