We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting apalachicola. The hotel was great!! The rooms are more like small condos. The were very clean, nicely painted and decorated, had very comfortable beds and a great view. The rooms are just like the photos online. They would be perfect for large families as well as couples. Each day we were left with snacks in the frig. The area is very scenic. You can enjoy nice strolls along the water or drive over to the island nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

If you think you are getting a cheap hotel here you are wrong. This is a slice of heaven on the river. The rooms with hardwood floors, stainless steel stove, fridge microwave etc. is beyond classy. Flat screen tv's and excellant screened in porch to overlook the river and dock. Service was great and overall a very very nice stay. And if you have the chance of getting Chavon as your desk clerk you will be fine. She is very nice and helpful and each time I spoke with her she was very cheerful and polite. A+ to this business. Less than $180 a night for this 10 star "hotel" was a killer deal.

My wife and I had just come from five days "roughing it" at the Pelican Inn on Dog Island and wanted a treat before heading home. I read the reviews of the Water Street Hotel and decided to give it a go. Even with the very strong reviews I had read, I wasn't prepared for how nice this place is. An extremely friendly desk clerk (Nedra) checked us in, gave us our complimentary glass of wine, and told us all about the hotel and marina. When we got to our room, we were surprised at the spaciousness (every "room" is a suite - multiple rooms, full kitchen) and how modern and tasteful everything is. The kicker is that every suite has a screened porch overlooking the river. All for $159 a night. You can easily pay less in Apalachicola, but it'd be hard to find a place this great anywhere! We loved it and wished we were staying longer. We'll go back and use it as a base for exploring the area more.

The best hotel in Apalachicola, hands down. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful and comfortable rooms, perfect location for a peaceful visit. Wonderful natural riverfront setting. Too many nice features to list them all. No other hotel in town even comes close. Take the advice of all the reviewers here: Stay in this hotel. You will love it.

A wonderful hotel in a wonderful town.

I wanted to surprise my husband with a one-night getaway without our multitude of children. After reading the reviews of Water Street Hotel & Marina on this website, I booked without hesitation. I could not have been happier. This hotel is all you hope it will be, from the immaculate and huge suites, to the unbelievable balcony views. From the moment you walk into the lobby and are greeted with a glass of wine, all worries and stress vanish. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and courteous and really had that southern hospitality that one hopes for. We had planned to go out to dinner, but were so enamored with the suite that, once we arrived, we never left. This will be the place we stay anytime we travel to Apalach.

The hotel and marina are located on the quiet waters of the Apalachicola River. Each suite has a screened balcony with table and chairs. You will want to while away the hours there, listening to the birds and watching the river activites. Our suite had 2 bedrooms and bath rooms ~ each with a comfortable king-sized bed, as well as a roomy living area and fully equiped kitchen (right down to the wine glasses!) It was like walking into 'home' complete with paintings of local scenes, hardwood floors, granite counter tops and stainless appliances in the kitchen. It was an excellent place to relax and rejuvinate your spirits. The staff was cheerful, helpful, and kind in all of our encounters. It was luxury at its best!

Did I just get lucky, or have I been finally living right??? This place is the most incredible $140 a night hotel I have ever known. It is even better than it's own website, a rare case of understatement. OK, maybe I got a cheaper very early Spring rate but I would cheerfully pay more. Huge suite with hardwood floors thru the master bed, separate living room and full kitchen. Yes...a full kitchen and (praise be) a full sized coffee pot. Two bathrooms, one with walk in shower. And a 30 feet screened verandah looking over the river and marshes and the marine below. Only open a year or so so it is squeaky clean and like new. Super helpful staff, internet in rooms and a location at the end of a dead end street for peace and quiet. Yeah, the guy hosing down his yacht right under my window made some splashing noises. I love funky Florida rather than the glitzy places and Apalachicola and environs sure counts as funky. But the Water Street hotel would be a dream at the price where-ever it was. Walking distance to two major oyster eating places.....me and my laptop might stay here forever!!
