My wife and I hadn't been back to this restaurant in several months. It was long before I started doing reviews. We were initially was going to The Fish Company for the special on raw oysters. We started off our lunch with 2 doz of the raw oysters. At $5.99 @ doz you cannot beat it. The oysters were somewhat small, but fresh and tasty. I had never tried a crab & tortilla soup before - I got a cup which was quite good. But have nothing to compare it against. We ordered their ceviche spoons of 1 of ahi tuna, 1 of shrimp & octopus and 1 of white for each of us. The ahi was not available. The shrimp & octopus was good. The white fish was good but had a bite to it (either some spicy green pepper or a sourness was causing the bite. Not the same as on previous visits. We ordered the two choice fried seafood platter of shrimp and oysters that included hush puppies, coleslaw, and a baked potato. It was very good and the price was reasonable.
When we arrived, we noticed the front of the restaurant was changed. Parking had been removed and a extended outside seating area made with an attractive black iron fence. All the tables had an umbrella to provide shade. We noted that the interior appeared to have been opened up offering a brighter dining area. The service was very good. Everyone was friendly and pleasant. There is a huge parking lot in front of the restaurant.
I would recommend it and we will be back there to eat again.
