Met a couple in San Pedro who mentioned they were doing this trip. We said we'd love to join them, so through e-mails our new "friend" Amy, got a group together to go. We met at the Tiki bar. We were the first to arrive. Vince, Cherie and "the aussie" were our tour guides. Cherie's informative talk about the endangered crocs as very enlightening. She manned the spotlight looking for the red shining to the croc's eyes in the water. Vince was amazing. When we found a croc he got into the water (which was simply unbelievable because the water was sewage-filled and brackish to try to get the croc. The croc got away, but we saw several other crocs. They had also brought along several baby crocs and a bigger one, which we got to hold and then release. So glad we ran into the couple in San Pedro and had the opportunity to have this amazing experience. We'd been to Belize the year before and hadn't read about this experience, so felt very lucky we were in the right place at the right time and were able to participate. We definitely recommend the eco-trip. When we were at Belize International preparing to leave to the states, we ran into Cherie, and she greeted us warmly. Her grandmother had become suddenly ill, and she was flying to the states to see her. Please don't miss this excellent adventure.
