We enjoyed our time at Banyan Bay. The Villa was very comfortable and spacious for a family of four. We enjoyed the pool and the beach location.

The restaurant was a little pricey compared to other locations in town. The food was good but not great.

We did our tours (snorkling and SNUBA) from the dive shop and we enjoyed both trips. We did reef fishing from the dive shop at the Victoria House. It was cheaper than the one at Banyan Bay.

Overall, it was a really nice place to say with a family. We were safe and comfortable.

Once again, excellent accommodations at Banyan Bay! It was great to see the friendly faces again! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and professional management. Rico's restaurant has great food, cold beer, polite servers, and wonderful atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

1st trip to San Pedro.I thought the property was nicely landscaped and the villas were well maintained. The rooms are large and cleaned daily. The onsite pool is large for the island.Their dock is very nice with A shop for booking tours and an overwater restaurant.
This part of the island seemed quieter than in town, but still had stores and restaurants nearby.Seemed like A 15 minute walk or golf cart ride into town.

Room Tip: We had A pool view which was nice.I still had A view of the water.Oceanview rooms are also available...

Terez Tillett almost ruined this wedding by not bothering to provide accurate information or assist with broken air conditioners and moving guests around like chess pieces--to name a few of the problems the bride had to manage instead of 'Terez'. She showed briefly before the ceremony to pretend to be helping. Avoid her! And complain!

My husband and I stayed at Banyan Bay at the end of May 2013. This was my second time to San Pedro and I loved it. The front desk was very welcoming and provided excellent customer service. Our room keys, beach towels, and paperwork were ready as we arrived. We immediately got into our room, out of our airplane clothes, and into our beach attire. The villa was large with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms.

We sat on the patio deck of the restaurant and ordered ceviche. The ceviche here was better than in town. We had the ceviche everyday our stay. The servers at the restaurant had the best personalities. Everyone was friendly, inquired about us, gave us tips of things to do, and joked with us.

I recommend Banyan Bay to couples and families. It is a great place to relax and have a good time.

We have stayed at Banyon Bay 5 times in the last 11 years. We've travel to almost the full lenghth of Ambergise Caye. From almost any point of view, Banyon Bay is the most convenient to town, to restaurants, stores and shops, it is not overly priced and you get a great place for your vacation and for what you will spend. You are close to a nice restaurant [Ricos]. Convenient to the airport. A few steps to the pool and a few more to the ocean and Ricos. You don't need a golf cart unless you really want to explore the island. For a few bucks, there are 'taxis' that will take you almost every where. If you want to meet the locals, start walking into town. Really quickly, a passing golf cart will offer you a ride. Have a nice chat with a local and they tell you who to go fishing with, etc

Just got back from two weeks at Bayan Bay. I don't know how the trip could have been any better. Rooms where very clean nice job Juanita .Lee and all the people at the front desk where very helpful as well. We walked most places fresh fruit stand right out the front door was real nice
and the new bakery that just opened right around the corner was hard to beat. Walking into town
if you keep the gas station on your right and continue straight up that street there is a little place called J&A's that had great food at a great price they also have a papaya milkshake that will curl your toes. Now to the meat and potatoes of the trip my son and I landed over 200 fish in two weeks.27 Tarpon to 90lbs 17 Snook to 25lbs Bonefish stopped counting after 20 biggest 4lbs most much smaller. My boy did get his first on the fly. The bulk of the fish came from our half day reef trip with Ramon Guenerro .Non stop drop and reel. We kept a few of the larger snappers. Just enough for a barbeque back at Banyan Bay on a grill that the office supplied. Talk about fresh. Multiple jacks, ladyfish and barracuda, rounded out the total. So if your looking for a place where your wife can sit by the pool and you can take a short walk and catch Tarpon from shore may I suggest Villas at Banyan Bay you won't be disappointed.
