We reserved our trip with SunBreeze directly. This was an easy process and communication was very good. We booked a package including diving for the week (see other reviews). The price also included air transfer from Belize International airport to San Pedro.

A SunBreeze bellman was waiting for us when we arrived at the airport, which is right next to the hotel. He took care of our baggages and we walked together to the hotel. Checkin in was easy and quick.

The room was clean and the two beds very comfortable. We had good sleeps. We enjoyed the large shower but it was long before we could get hot water.

Drinking water is supplied in reusable containers. We had to refill ours every day. (a bit annoying).

The pool is nice and very clean. And my wife enjoyed the chairs besides the pool for her daily reading periods. We also enjoyed the bar.

Evenings were quiet and nothing would prevent us from a good sleep after diving. At first, we thought the air conditionning system was noisy, but the noise helped eliminate perception of other environmental noises... so, no complaint here.

Checking out was as easy as checking in. All restaurant and bar charges were accurate and well detailed. Interestingly, they also handed me all the receipts I signed.

I belive that no room offers an ocean view (blocked by restaurant and trees). However, some room will face the sunlight more than others.

We really enjoyed the restaurant attached to the hotel as well as the dive operation (see note below for possible down side). Reviews are posted separately.

We're happy with this stay.

(note: for diving, Belize is less practical for us than other places we went... it is not possible to dive from shore and the diving operations are mostly "à la carte" vs the more unlimited approach we are used to. We are very happy with this trip, but because of this, it might not be a place where we will return.)

Room Tip: I like second floor. If you want direct sunlight in your room, ask for it.

We just spent a week in Belize at the SunBreeze Hotel. It is in the perfect location across the street from the airport and just outside of the town center. The room was the perfect size and very clean! The pool is a great size and right next to the restaurant/bar, which made happy hour at the pool ideal!!! Drink and dinner prices were very fair and portions were huge!! Everything about the hotel was very clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay here again when we visit San Pedro in the future!!

Room Tip: Second floor for sure! Corner rooms have better views! Get a room with a refrigerator!!!

After 35 years of dive vacationing all over the Caribbean, our first trip to San Pedo and the SunBreeze Hotel came as a delightful surprise. A unique island destination, Ambergris Caye offered excellent diving, great dining, very good accommodations and the most convenience we've experienced. Following our 15 minute shuttle flight from Belize City, we laughed upon arrival after leaving the San Pedro airport; the SunBreeze check-in desk was less than 30 steps from the airport exit. Following a very efficient check-in, another short walk had us in our spacious, well air-conditioned room, ready to dress-down for an exploratory walk around town and a decision for dinner. Everything we wanted was within a short walk from the SunBreeze and during the week we never felt the need for motor transport. THAT alone is a remarkable contrast and cost saving to other destinations we've visited over the years! The on premises dive shop was equally convenient and SUPERB in its personal services and consideration... not to mention an exceptional value. Our dive master, Patrick, was very professional while exuding peace and calmness that Caribbean diving should be all about. The proliferation of nurse sharks, rays and turtles on our dives was amazing. It's the first time I've almost felt having multiple sharks with me (shark buddies) through entire dives as mundane. They were amazing to have within reach on every dive!. It's a learned behavior resulting from divers spearing Lion Fish off the reefs. The diving was enjoyable even if the waters were a bit rough due to the fact that you are on the windward side of the island and diving off the island's immense barrier reef. In San Pedro, the beach zone serves as San Pedro's primary pedestrian path, so most restaurants have both a beach side and a street side "front entry". Cool ocean breezes made all our outdoor dining an added island treat. Great hotel nestled in the middle of a great Caribbean destination!

Friendly, clean, wonderful staff, and convenient location. Would stay there again. Have a restaurant on site and on beach front to boot! Would recommend everyone to check out and consider either the hotel or the suites.

We just got back from a week stay at SunBreeze Hotel, July 9-15th. The hotel is right across the street from the airport. When we arrived we explained that there had been a mix up with booking our hotel and the cost, the trip advisor deal had not gone through so we were paying a little more than we wanted to. The staff made sure that it was corrected and we paid the original trip advisor price.
The rooms are clean. They are fairly big, with lots of space for our dive gear, and our suitcases. Everyone at the hotel is very nice. The grounds are kept well maintained, they spray for mosquitos every morning and night. It rained 4 out of the 6 days were there so the mosquitos were pretty bad on the non rainy days.
The restaurant has REALLY good food. Eat the breakfast and get the French Toast. It is the BEST! The price is what you would pay in America, not really cheap, but again it's really good. The staff is very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.
We dove with Hotels dive center, Hugh Parkey's Dive Connection. They were WONDERFUL!!! I can't say enough good stuff about Israel, Patrick, and Kevin. The boat captains were great as well. Every dive was awesome. They showed us, dolphins, eagle rays, octopus, stingrays, eels, and lots of fish.
I would stay here again. It was a great time.
