Just returned from 4 days with a group of girlfriends and again, VH was amazing. Peaceful beach and pools, excellent food and the attentive staff are what makes this hotel my favorite beach destination. I was there in July for my honeymoon and was nervous this trip wouldn't live up to that one, however it was just as fantastic. We stayed in a 2BR infinity suite which had a fully stocked kitchen, 2 bedrooms (1Q, 1K), 2 bathrooms (1 was smaller) and 4 (4!!) porches, two off the upstairs room. The back door opened into a little private garden with an outdoor shower and the front porch opened to the gorgeous view of the pool, lawn and beach. The food was amazing (order the grouper, you won't regret it) and the staff make it so personal. (Thanks Leonel and Manuel and Julio!) Already planning my next trip.

Room Tip: I've stayed in Plantation Room 18 and it was great, Infinity Suite 54 was also fabulous. Maybe...

What a fabulous vacation! Had a really great time at this resort for our 15th anniversary! The plantation room was beautiful & so comfortable. Loved the beach bag they had ready with towels. The housekeeping service was great, our room was kept clean and the grounds were wonderfully maintained. Great location & great resort. We will definitely return!

Wow. This place is gorgeous! Location could not be better. Walk, bike or take a golf cart to town of San Pedro for shops & restaurants. The hotel is so beautiful. We had a Plantation room. Very roomy with a beautiful bed. Also bathroom sink is separate from shower. Fresh flowers & chocolates welcome you. Turn down service every night. Grounds are perfect. Walkways are sand. Grounds workers rake away your footprints. There's a foot bath before entering your porch to keep the sand out of the room. Breakfast is good with homemade breads or muffins and perfect coffee and fruit. Service was perfect in every aspect. No TV, phone or clock in room. You are here to relax and forget about the rest of the world...not hard to do here. If you need a wake up call they will knock on your door. All excursions leave from their dock. I highly recommend this beautiful property. You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon in mid June here and absolutely loved VH. There were a few small draw backs, solely my opinion. The restaurant on site is quite expensive, to be expected for a high end hotel. We were more interested in taking in the local spots. This hotel was the only one we visited that had a proper romantic setting. We visited a number of others and this hotel is really well situated for couples. Privacy at any hour. A small and private beach. Complimentary rides into town, so you don't have to rent a golf cart every day. Complimentary bikes. And, one of the best simple breakfasts: small warmed muffins with strong coffee with warm butter and jam. It was great. The hotel was really a highlight for us, and we hope to go back.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the plantation rooms. We loved it. We couldn't hear our neighbors at all...

All facets of this resort help to make it a true 5 star, from staff who are warm and friendly, to the food, landscaping and rooms/cabanas, you will not regret booking here! Picturesque, just as seen on the website. A wonderful walk into town if you wish for lively entertainment or to try different restaurants(which i do recommend tho palmilla is as good as any) plus VH has shuttles to and from town when not in you seclusion there. I liked it so well I even inquired about possibly owning one!

Room Tip: VH is so well maintained and landscaping so beautiful all rooms would be good, just depends on how m...

Victoria House is everything you could imagine and more. Beginning with the golf cart shuttle straight off the plane, we knew we were in for something special. The food was fantastic (we started our trip off with some lobster for her and grouper for me, both amazing)! So much so that we ended up eating most of our meals at Victoria House, but when we did choose to venture out into town or to the North side of the island, there was always a golf cart available for us. The scenery at Victoria House is unbelievable. I live in a townhouse with a tiny backyard and can't maintain it as well as the entire estate of Victoria House! The staff was welcoming and eager to satisfy our every need! Being able to book our activities on site was a big convenience, and the prices were comparable to others we saw online and around town. We took the kayak out to the reef a few times (free!) and relaxed by the pool every morning. We will be coming back to Victoria House, hopefully sooner than later!

Room Tip: The Plantation room provided more than enough space, air conditioning was perfect, and wifi access w...

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Victoria House in early February. The facilities and rooms were nicely done. The one change I would suggest is to have phones in the room to connect to the front desk. The pools, beach and dock areas are great for hanging out. The thing that makes Victoria House most distinguished is the staff. The people in the restaurant and bar were totally accommodating in the food service and in the preparation. All the meals we had were of good quality. The front desk staff deserves kudos for being helpful. My wife got injured on a tour at Lamanai and the front desk staff helped her with some first aid and were very caring. We'll definitely be interested in re-visiting Victoria House.
