We stayed a week at White Sands Cove and thoroughly enjoyed the property. Jenna and Ward provided outstanding service and we felt most welcome in every way. The food was great and the staff made everything super easy for us - snorkeling trips, restaurant reservations, golf cart rentals, etc. We would absolutely come back to White Sands Cove Resort and we highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at White Sands Cove. The location was great and service was outstanding. Having access to free bike rentals made it easy to explore the island, and the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was as easy as possible for us (water taxi service, snorkeling trips, restaurant reservations and recommendations, etc.) I highly recommend!

We stayed as a couple for a week at beautiful White Sands Cove. Ward and Jenna were wonderful and provided the best service. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and would literally give us the clothes off their backs if we needed it. We felt most welcome by them and the rest of their staff, who always greeted us at every passing. As a foreigner in a new country, I felt very welcome and at home here at White Sands Cove.

The resort itself is wonderful-it is clean, beautifully landscaped and offers the perfect place to relax without the big crowds you might find at a larger resort. There is a bar by the pool where you can get drinks and order food. (The chef is amazing!) There is a walking/bike path that runs up and down the coast and also a dock you can fish off of or catch a water taxi from. The resort offers everything you need to have a good time-bikes, kayaks, golf carts, and excursions galore. We went on a sailing/snorkeling excursion to Caye Caulkner and had an amazing time! So whatever adventure you are looking for-or if you are just looking for a quiet place to relax poolside or in a hammock under the palapa, White Sands Cove is the place!

Awesome resort with outstanding service! The rooms are fanatic and Jena and Ward (resort managers) are great! Highly recommended! Best part was being able to rent bikes for free. Any request we had was quickly taken care of.

Just came back from a week at the White Sands Cove Resort. The airport reminded me of a Latin American aircraft carrier. LOL The 2 airlines did touch and goes with their planes all afternoon. Mesa Air had 4 plains come and go in less than 20 minutes. But they were fast, and efficient.
We stayed in A-3 February 1 to 8, 2014. This is the 2nd floor, 2 bedroom, beach front unit. Great Location! We would sit out on the balcony with our coffee watching the sun rise and the morning commute down the beach by the locals on their bikes. Jenna and Ward run the place, and you couldn't ask for better managers. They are a nice couple in their late 20's from the northern United States. (He is from Alaska) They were always around with a smile, and anything you would ask of them they would answer with "not a problem, that is what we are here for". A perfect example is we checked out a couple bikes the first morning. (Included...no charge.) and rode down the beach. On our we way back one of them gave up the ghost...which is to be expected, ocean air does tend to rust steel. Ward felt so bad about it he had 4 new ones added to the fleet before lunch. The best way to get around is on the ocean side of the resort. You can walk the path, ride bikes down the path, or take the water taxi. You come for the water, stay out by it. The bikes are faster, but walking is easier on the legs. The sand is packed, but still not as firm as riding on a paved road. If you take the scheduled water taxi it is $5 US a person, or you can hire Dave's water taxi, and it is $20 US a trip for up to 4 people. With 4 of us it was the same price to use Dave...and he was always there in 10 minutes or less. The road behind the resorts is sand, with potholes, and the view is not nearly as nice as on the ocean side. I would avoid renting a golf carts.

The property was kept spotless. They rake the sand twice a day. There was daily maid service, and they took great care of us. (FYI, leave the maid a daily tip on your pillow. Don't know if it affected their performance, but they did a great job. ) The prices at the bar were very reasonable. Happy hour daily from 1-5. They have daily specials, and bucket of beers specials as well. (I believe it was 5 beers for $10.00 US.) I talked to some folks staying at Grand Caribe, and they said they were paying $5.50 US for a beer by the pool. Panty Rippers, a local favorite were $2.50 US. At Captain Morgan's ( About a half mile north) They had a sign that offered them for $5.50 US during happy hour. Diving in Belize was beyond great. The dive sites are less that 10 minutes off short. Our last full day I wanted to go down one more time and get in a one tank dive. They picked me up at 8:45, took me out for a 50 minute dive, and I was back at our dock by 10:00m, for $50.00 US. The price and the short time from start to finish is unheard of in Cozumel, or most other dive destinations. There are bigger, mega resorts on the island that have more to offer, at a considerably higher price. Been there, done that all over the Caribbean. This is the place to stay. Clean, well maintained, small, & quiet. Did Capricorn's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (Closest restaurant north of the resort.) Food was Great! The omelet was the best breakfast I had all week. (Fry-Jacks instead of toast are a must for breakfast no matter where you eat.) Their prices for breakfast and lunch were reasonable. Dinner was a little pricey, but worth it. The Lazy Crock is a 5 minute walk south of the resort. Open 11-5. Closed Sunday, Monday? It is worth going just for the location. Looks like you are down in the bijou. The pulled pork was moist and tender. All in all it was a great trip, and we can't wait to return!!!!

We were able to stay for 7 days and didn't want to come back home. Jenna and Ward were more than helpful with getting us to and from the airport, making trip plans and everyday tasks. The rest of the staff were always there as well to answer any questions and help all they could. We would come back over and over again.

Room Tip: all are good

This is the place to unwind. Ward and Jen and the staff are remarkably accommodating. The facility is clean and well maintained. White Sands Cove's location allows you to walk to restaurants and/or hop a water taxi for short trips to San Pedro and resorts and restaurants both to the north and south or you can stay at the hotel and eat the stuffed grouper ( a secret recipe we were told and we believe it). Any and all excursions can be readily booked from WSC. On an island where some of the resorts are massive, White Sands Cove is a quiet small gem. Note: the one bedroom suites go quickly. Go and sit by the pool or the water. You will not regret it and will want to return.
