After leaving a hotel down the beach because of the unfriendly staff and green pool, It was such a treat to be treated nicely and have such a nice room with a "real" ocean view balcony!

We enjoyed there small pool very much and thought that the pool bar "Mojitos" made great food! Close to everything and was very quiet while we were there in July 2008. It only rained once!

The beds were hard, which is my only complaint......

Do bring Deet for the Mosquitos and at night, if you walk on the beach, you could get eaten by the sand fleas. We mostly walked around town at night, which is totally safe, we even got lost and ended up where most the locals live, and it was still warm and friendly. Pirates Pizza is great if you want something to remind you of home, other than that, every meal we had was delicious!

The Sun Breeze Suites is not a huge place, but there are not huge resorts on the island. If I were to go back, I would definately stay there again!

This was a nice place, well situated in the small town of San Pedro. The beach is small and heavily travelled so don't expect to lay out there... We went to Ramon's Village and were welcome to use their loungers and beach but spent quite a bit ($) at their bar.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. They would wait until you left the room then hurry and clean it while you are out. The Manager,Geovanni, is very professional and attentaive to your needs. We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay and will stay here again.

This hotel is well situated if you are looking to be close to everything in San Pedro without giving up a pool or air conditioning. The service was professional, and the facilities were well maintained. It is a great place for divers who want to be close to their launching site or groups of friends who want to be near it all. Not sure it is great for young families. The air conditioning and pool are amenities not found in many hotels in town so take advantage. The refrigerator is large if you need to store your water, beer, and Rum. Bring your own coffee, filters, sugar, and dish sponge from home. If you need comfort food from home (Mac-N-Cheese, pancakes, etc.) bring them with you. The room key is an actual key, so don't lose it. If you are thinking your night out may result in your inability to remember where you kept your key, have them held for you until you return.

Mojitos is the hotel bar and a good find for Sunday barbecue. Stick to the drink specials on other days. If you are uptight, there are going to be little things about the place that will annoy you. If you sit under one of their palm trees long enough, the breeze will make it all better. The grocery shop is one block over. You can get everything you need there, and the prices are better than the supermarket. Strongly recommended places to eat are Estels, Mangos, Reef, and Pinki Knox. The only late night places I liked were Fido's and Pier Lounge. All except Pinki Knox are within walking distance. Jaguars and Big Daddy's are popular late night dance places.

Ladies: Do not expect your hair to cooperate while you are there. It simply will not. Bring a straightening iron or put it in bun or drink enough weak rum so it won’t matter.

This place is great - small but cute one bedroom suites, overlooking the water. All the pools in San Pedro are cold unless they get a lot of sunshine, but this one was swimmable. Close to restaurants as it's right in town. Was very clean and the people nice. I don't think that the extra little pool is meant to be a jacuzzi, altho it kinda looks like it. Huge shower. We were in room 207 - 06 and 07 are the front rooms overlooking the ocean on the south part of the hotel. The second floor view is blocked mostly by palm trees - didn't bother us, but might bother others. Ask for first or third floor in those rooms if the balcony view is super important to you.

My wife and I were staying at the Aquamarina suites end of april 2007 for 10 days of scubadiving with Aqua Dives. As soon as we arrived in the tiny San Pedro Airport, we called the hotel and were quickly picked up 5 mn later by a golf cart (cool, most people drive golf carts in this village. Lots of beach bikes too). First impression: Belizean are warm and friendly people unless you have that ugly american attitude! The check-in was quick (thanks to Giovanni). We had the oceanfront 1 bedroom suite that we requested, it had a nice balcony with... a beautiful view! Room had a nice functional kitchen, everything was very clean. We felt immediately at home and were pleased to be located downtown near all the amenities. We filled the fridge with fruits, veggies, seafood and... Belikin beer! The restaurant in the hotel was closed so... We had great breakfasts on the balcony every morning, and lunch the afternoon and at night, we cooked delicious gourmet meals most of the time as there was plenty of groceries around (from small to big supermarket). That's real life when you're fed up of all-inclusive resorts! Went only 3 times to the restaurant (''Elvi's'', ''Caramba's'' and the very good ''Blue Grill'', probably the best restaurant around) but they are not cheap unless you go eat to the little greasy corner. The beach is for relaxing on the chairs, NOT for swimming, as there is lots of sea grass and diving boats or water taxis all around. Be careful if you decide to go snorkelling. Diving in the San Pedro area was OK to Good depending on the dive we made, but the Turneffe and lighthouse areas were truly excellent, among the nicest places to dive in the world! Aquadives staff from the owner, Eduardo, to the divemasters were all very friendly and professional. This is serious, not a Mickey Mouse dive operator. All the boats are in good shape. You can rent diving equipement but it is always better (and safer) to bring your own gear. Overall, this is a divers paradise. We were quite satisfied and would go back anytime.
