“Bucket of Beers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 March 2014

We stopped here for three days in a row during the heat of the day to stay in the shade but have a view of the ocean. They have a nice 6 bucket of beers for $20 bz with chips and salsa. They also have a bottle of rum and 3 sodas. We tried that the third day, but were unable to get through half the bottle with only the three sodas so had to buy 3 more. Also it would have been nice if the chips and salsa were free refills. And you can take the drinks to go to, which is great!

“Good blended drinks”

We didn't eat but went for coladas and daiquiris on a hot day. The banana colada was excellent (although not very boozy) and only $4us...they're $6us most places.

“Very Nice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014

We enjoyed the seafood that we ordered her. Our waiter was very funny and friendly. Just like everything else on Caye Caulker it takes a while to get your meal...but it is prepared fresh and to order. Remember...go slow!

“Great food, Great price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 February 2014

Excellent food and pricing was as well. Staff was very good. Since lobster was still in season, we had the lobster with garlic sauce. Very good but I'd recommend getting the sauce on the side and add how much you want.

“Good Atmosphere, fair price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 January 2014 via mobile

Had dinner at the Tropical Paradise Restaurant during my short stay on Caulker Caye.
In general I do not expect much, in terms of food, on islands with lots of tourist and from places with promising names.
The sign upfront said: Daily Special (a not specified ) Blackened Fish with curried vegetable rice and coleslaw.
The staff was eager, but not pushy to get you in the restaurant, (good motivation is positive) and I decided to check it out.
Turns out that the unspecified fish was fresh locally caught snapper.
The preparation of the fish was good, two firm pieces of snapper fillet with a spicy glaze, the curried rice was tasty and the coleslaw not bad.
It took a long time to get the food, which I did not mind, more time to hang out and watch the scene. A well prepared dinner, pleasant atmosphere, for a fair price.
