Great hotel to stay. walking distance to everything on the island and right by the split. Great breakfast included in the morning and the bar on the roof was my favorite place to get a drink each night before we ventured out into the island to find dinner. Everyone that worked there was super kind and the rooms very clean and comfy.

Hard enough to beat the location, then you see the courtyard with the beautiful Banyan tree! It feels like your living in the tree! Then you see your room and realize how comfortable you will be for your stay...and then you meet the amazingly friendly staff who make everything so easy! Booking a day trip or snorkelling? Ask one of the front desk staff for recommendations! Need to get a cab from or to the airport? They can take care of that too! Don't forget the bar upstairs for incredible drinks! Best of all, you meet Heidi and Haywood who make sure everything is at it's very best! These are memories I will have forever, and friends I will have always.
Thank you Sea Dreams for making my vacation truly dreamy!

Room: very clean with comfortable beds, stocked mini frig and air conditioner. My daughter and I stayed in room 5 over Christmas and loved being by the Bayon tree. We also loved the hammocks upstairs.

Staff: Anna went out of her way while we were diving to find a room for us in Cayo. She also booked the air for us. She was also very pleasant and so helpful. Melanie also made us awesome drinks even though the bar was closed. The day we dove, the kitchen made us breakfast to go.

Be sure and watch the sunset off the private dock.

We will stay again once we return from Cayo.

You do hear the music from the split but it did not bother us. It might be an issue for some people.

We stayed on caye caulker for a week in total, we stayed at other places on the island but this was by far our favourite. It's a great location close to the spit and busy section of the Main Street. The rooms are really lovely everything is made locally of wood, even the sink! This is the priciest place we stayed but we actually ended up spending less overall as it includes breakfast (very few places do on caye caulker), bike hire, free mineral water, fridge, Good ac that is actually worth turning on, snorkel hire, free use of a canoe - all of which we paid extra for elsewhere. The family that own it are so lovely and friendly, it's safe and clean. There's also great chill out places in the sun and shade (with stunning views over the sea), a cute little bar to grab a rum punch and a deck to sunbathe on over the water and swim off. It's called a hotel but its tiny, it's basically like staying in a little beach house in the trees!

Wasn't sure what to expect...and we arrived tired and a tad grumpy...left feeling like we had been so cared for and positively spoiled. Breakfast every AM was outstanding. Super clean rooms. Experienced the most amazing sunset of our lives from the dock. Surrounded by the laughter of children and local characters stopping by for a swim. Off the main drag at the end near the split. Felt safe and secure and did I say spoiled already? Bikes are free to use and we explored all over with them. We actually left Ambergis Caye to come back here for another night. LOVED it and LOVED the staff and family that were a delight to meet. We will be back...the honeymoon suite looked like it was calling our name for our next visit! ;-)

Room Tip: We stayed in room 2...the honeymoon suite was just finished, need to visit that one next!

A buddy of mine and I just got back from a four night stay at the sea dreams. We had read the good reviews, but still didn't know what to expect since it was our first trip to the island.

First off about the island.... There is nothing better than being picked up by our cab, which was a golf cart. No cars on the island except the delivery truck or the tractor dropping off and delivering the beer & recyclables. People were very friendly and the food was great. If you like fresh seafood, there is no better. We ended up eating at Rose's three nights in a row. Fresh lobster cooked on the grill, fresh fish, and fresh stone crab. Makes me want to go back for a fourth night. The lizard was fun, and the drinks were cold.

Now the Sea Dreams.... We were welcomed very cordially as we checked in and shown to our rooms. The rooms were clean and the ac was very cold. They had set us up for 3 full days of fishing with Ken (best guide on the island). Ken picked us up each morning at the dock at the end of the hotel on time and ready to fish. And fish we did!!!! We caught tons of permit, some bonefish, and more permit. I am glad we brought some high end tackle gear, because those fish put them to the test. I can't say enough good things about Ken and his ability to put us on fish. Plus he was a cool guy to talk to.

Each morning we went upstairs for an excellent homemade breakfast and fresh squeezed juice. The pico de gallo was the best tasting, freshest I have ever had. And that is saying a lot since I live in Texas.

At the end of each day as we came in, there were kids having fun and swimming at the dock which was neat and very friendly to see. Our last day of fishing, we decided to grab a cooler full of beer and hop in the water, listen to some music, and enjoy the sunset. Haywood (the owner) was hanging out with his family in the water and came over and shared some beer and good conversations with us. It was real interesting to hear how he got started on the island plus the in's & out's of living in another country. He greeted us each afternoon as the boat came in and asked about our day. Once again, just first class all the way around!!!

We are already planning our next fishing trip to the island next memorial day weekend, and we are 100% staying at the sea dreams and will request Ken as our guide again.

If you come to Caye Caulker and don't stay at the Sea Dreams, then you are doing yourselves a disservice!!! Thanks again for the great time!!!

Sea Dreams Hotel is a family-run boutique hotel on the quaint island of Caye Caulker. We are located at the north end of the village which affords a three-sided view of the Caribbean Sea.
