“Location location location”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

We took a day trip to caye caulker from San Pedro and arrived on the 10am boat. We wandered around a bit and ended up at this bar at the northern end of the island at the split. The location was perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Buckets of beer were reasonably priced at the bar to take out on the decks. However they take a $10 deposit on the bucket that I was not able to get back because the bar got so busy and the bartenders ignore you because they probably get to keep the $10 if you give up and leave. After a few hours the place got pretty busy - sort of a younger spring break type crowd. The food was not good, I'm going to agree with the last poster an suggest sticking to bottled beer. Definitely worth visiting if you make it to the island. We spent four hours there and really enjoyed it.

“Another sleazy bar in paradise”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

Great location, but all in all just another sleazy bar in the tropics, where people like to get smashed, run around in skimpy bikinis, take selfies and laugh way too loud at way too little.

“You Go for the Character”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

This will not even be close to the best food or drinks you'll get in Belize. In fact, keep to bottled beer. But this is one of the most authentic basic beach bars out there, a place that feels like its at the end of the earth, where the patrons are as random and colorful as the space bar scene in Star Wars. You can sit on make-shift docks around the grounds. Put you feet in the sand or ocean while sipping your cerveza. Meet everyone from the island salty dog to the multi-billionaire yacht owner. You could easily see Bob Marley hanging out here.

“Eh....could've done without the expensive boat trip out there”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

When we pulled up in the boat, it looked like Spring Break in Miami. It was really crowded. Once we got closer, I saw it was a mix of what looked like little local kids and adults just sitting around drinking. It was pretty run down. The bathrooms were bad and you have to pay for them. I hear that there are plans to bulldoze it and put in a resort or something. The place has charisma, but could definitely use some attention.
