very clean, have a cheap wifi access, and a cheap bike rental.
we got private bath, re fridge, coffee pot, towel, cable t.v, a large deck with a great view as the room was on the third floor. they are aminutes walking distance of snorkel & dive shops, restaurants, gift shops and the main street. you can sleep at night as it's not on the main street where all the noise.
you have everything you need for this island, we came for 4 nights and it was perfect. its 8 km island so it dosen't realy matter the location you can walk everywhere.
bring with you something against mosquitoes for the morning and for the evening (they are all over the island during the sunset and sunrise even on the beach!)

Perfect for us, the cabana was roomy, airy, quiet, and Al and Joanne were welcoming and caring. They take great care of their house, the garden, the cabana. Al is an amazing woodworker--a true artisan. JMS is out of the main action of the "downtown" and beach front, though just by a few blocks. We will go back one of these days--Caye Caulker was really fun--and would definitely want to stay at JMS. We didn't see the other rooms.

We loved this guest house - the view from the upper deck - the beautiful furnishings and clean comfort made this our favorite place in Caye Caulker...

Room Tip: Either one is great....

This is specific to the cabana. Spacious, decent bed, good furniture, nice wood floors, bathroom is nice. Everything was clean. There is fridge, stove, microwave and some basic utensils, plates, bowels, etc but nothing too much. The owners are very nice and if you ask nicely, they'll cut you down a coconut and chop off the end so you can drink the water. We asked Allison, one of the owners where to buy a fresh coconut and he said, "I can cut you down one here from the tree." It was great!

Town is very small anyways, but the place is on the other end of the main bulk of the activities - but it's a matter of a few minute walk.

It's not fancy but we liked it. The room was clean and big enough for us. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is away from the main lively areas so quiet and as Caye Caulker is so small it only takes a few minutes to walk to anything - even from here to the Lazy Lizard at The Split was only about 15 minutes walk. We did use the bicycles the guesthouse provided on the first day but after that found it easier to just walk and not bother with these.
We found it quite calming to sit outside the room on the balcony and survey the sea over the buildings. My only suggestion would be that a washing line for drying swimming gear on would be helpful...
