Absolutely loved, loved, loved Caye Caulker. We had an amazing 12 days. We snorkeled, kayaked around the island, and hand fed the tarpon. Look for the sign as you go toward the Split. It is the Tarpon Deli and it is located on the backside of the island. We ate breakfast and lunch at the deli and it was great. We had the stuffed jack which was amazing as well as inexpensive. The tarpon were huge!!! It is a must see.

Small, friendly & neither commercial, or pushy. Everything needed in a short stay.

Plenty of quality eating options & bars.

Always felt safe on the island.

Caye Caulker is a great place to stay as your home base to take side-trips to explore the areas around Belize. The island offers every kind of side trip you need such as cave tubing, tree-line zipping, exploring ruins, and of course the great reef, just one mile off the coastline of Caye Caulker. You can see the foam from the waves hitting the reef from the coastline as you sip an ice-cold drink.

We just went back after getting married on Caye Caulker 5 years ago. We love the laid back vibe, beatiful Carribean colors proximity to the reef and reggae music everywhere! We rented a canoe and ejoyed a sunset paddle around the island, it was a great way to take in Caye Caulker this time!

This is a great place to relax if you can do without that white sandy beach.
No cars makes the island slow and peaceful, there is plently of snorkelling and diving to be had with a fair chance of seeing turtles, nurse sharks and even manatee on the all day snorkelling trips.
Plently of restaurants a few bars and shops mean you have all you need.
People generally head to the split to swim if their hotel doesn't have a jetty of it own.
Other activities of the island include kayaking and stand up paddle boarding SUP. It is also possible to book flights out over the blue hole if you have the cash to flash.
