Went out for the snorkeling tour on a sail boat, $70 US p/p but it is well worth it. We went out with 8 people, great size for a group on the boat and headed out to 3 different places to snorkel. First place is coral gardens, good time to get used to snorkeling and seeing some beautiful coral along with fish and even a few nurse sharks if you are lucky. After that they serve up fresh fruit and then onto the next site where you get to swim with sharks and rays, what an experience. But before we got there our captain jumped off the boat for 5 mins before coming back with our lunch of fresh Lobster. After swimming with the sharks and rays and the one lonely turtle you are back on the boat for lunch, we had lobster, others had chicken and they also catered for the 2 vegetarians on board. Last stop is Hol Chan marine reserve where you get a guided tour by the captain, we were lucky enough to see heaps of fish, spotted eagle rays a moray eel and so many turtles. Missed out on seeing any manatees though. After this last stop back on board for rum punch and fresh shrimp ceviche and cruising back in by sail,
Recommend going with these guys, very professional and caring of the reef, the sail boat is an added touch. We saw the raggamuffin group out and they had at least double the amount of people on board. Great day!
