“Best trip ever!”
Reviewed 7 March 2018 for a stay in March 2018

We had the best time aboard the island girl! Could not have been happier with everything. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Captain Dave and first mate/chef Sarah. Captain Dave was super easy going, helpful, and took us to amazing spots. Sarah was also amazing, helpful, happy, and a 5 star chef. Her meals were better than almost any restaurants and went way beyond expectations! Thanks Sarah and captain Dave! We hope to sed you guys again soon!

“Stress free week”
Reviewed 6 March 2018 for a stay in February 2018

Seven of us spent an indulgent week aboard a spacious, well equipped Lagoon 500, Satori. Hiring a skipper and cook was an indulgence for us but we were pleased with our decision. The boat was immaculate and in good condition (but for broken wind speed and direction indicators) and the cabins were spacious and comfortable, with plenty of drawers, a small closet but no under the bed storage for hard luggage - but we were warned. We wedged our small, hard roller bags in between the steps and the beds, but there is no space for large hard cases (except in 2 of the showers - maybe.) Ruben and Christi did a great job making us comfortable and were sensitive to the groups's preferences. They went the extra mile to make a birthday party special and they were fun to be around. Christi was a superb chef and our meals were delicious and beautifully presented. She never got a night off! And Ruben managed to find us extra Coke Zero, red wine and the birthday venue - all much appreciated. We highly recommend BSV.

“Bareboat Reconsidered”
Reviewed 4 March 2018 for a stay in February 2018

My wife and I decided to try sailing a crewed charter where captain and crew assume all responsibilities. It may be a long time before we look again to self-provisioning, self-docking and undocking, self-navigating, self-anchoring, self-cooking and cleaning, and constant (stressful) monitoring.

Captain Dave and Ellen provided us a wonderful experience. Dave’s knowledge of secluded anchorages with beautiful sunset views and quiet areas for kayaking combined excellently with Ellen’s skilled cooking to make our 5-day vacation seem like we were lost in time. We passed on scuba diving, which would have been easy enough to arrange, with little loss of enjoyment as Dave took us to two great snorkel spots that were better than most dive sites I’ve seen around the world. The mealtime conversations were lively, wide-ranging, and fun.

We are already planning our next vacation, and look forward to returning to the amazing waters of Belize with Belize Sailing Vacations.

P.S. Do the math. Pricing can be competitive with bareboating a similar sized vessel depending on number of passengers.

“Island Girl Get-Away”

Capt Dave's Island Girl was a comfortable, spacious & superbly maintained. Dave a superb host, generous with his time, experience and local knowledge. 1st Mate Sarah is a culinary wizard and wonderful hostess. She doubles as a very accomplished ASA sailing instructor and very experienced sailor in her own right. We couldn't have had a better pair to introduce us to caribbean live-aboard adventures. Recommend BSV, and these two accomplished sailors to anyone interested in a floating get-away. Additional thanks to Patricia Johnson (Dir of Reservations & Guest Services), she gave us great local lodging recommendations; Sherman - everyone we spoke with at BSV had nothing but great things to say; and John - thanks for the local tour while transporting us, & the recommendation to stop by Iron Horse Cafe. See you all again soon.

“Best vacation experience to date!”
Reviewed 19 February 2018 for a stay in February 2018

My husband and I sailed on the Aubisque for 5 nights in February 2018 with Captain Ish and First Mate Breezy. Everything surpassed our expectations from the moment we were greeted at the dock by Cliff and our crew. The purpose of our trip was to explore what it would be like to live on board a catamaran and Ish gave my husband all the training and experience possible in our time on board, teaching him about the boat and how to sail her. As a captain, Ish had a lifetime of knowledge of the area and the waters, taking us to all the best places based on what we wanted to experience, the weather, etc. He guided us on daily snorkeling adventures and even speared lobster, snapper and grouper for our meals!
Breezy lovingly prepared and presented amazing, healthy, gourmet meals based on our food preferences. Every dish was fresh and delicious! She also worked hard throughout the day to keep everything "ship shape" and made sure all of our needs were met. The crew seemed to work very well together to take care of the boat, and to keep us happy and safe.
The Aubiaque is a lovely yacht with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, a very comfortable salon and large outdoor seating and lounging areas. We could have very comfortably fit 2-4 additional guests on board, but it was also a lovely experience for just the two of us.There are two kayaks and a stand-up paddle board on board and all can be used as you please. The heads are small and do not include a separate shower, but it was fine and we showered outside on the swim deck.
This was a top-notch vacation and I would highly recommend it to anyone! We will definitely be back again, bringing friends and family!

“Wonderful family week onboard!”
Reviewed 16 February 2018 for a stay in January 2018

We spent a week onboard the Island Girl with captain Dave and first mate Ellen. Grandma and grandpa, our daughter and son-in-law and two grand daughters age 3 and 6. All I can say is we will be back! We arrived in Belize to less than fantastic weather - but our course was altered to avoid the weather and we could not have been happier. We swam, snorkeled, speared lobster, tried fishing, explored remote islands, and spent many hours enjoying sailing the gorgeous waters. The food was excellent - we enjoyed Belizian dishes, and Ellen was able to please the young palates. Often seemed like we were the only boat in our corner of the world. Patricia helped with our onshore accommodations too - a big plus.

“Amazing vacation with the perfect boat and hosts”
Reviewed 3 February 2018 for a stay in January 2018

My husband and I plus our two grown children and their partners sailed on the Palmetto with Jessie (captain) and Karla (cook) for 6 nights in January 2018. It was an amazing vacation. The food was outstanding and Karla was able to cater to our likes and dislikes, substituting chicken for the person that did not eat fish and providing gluten free options for two others. The alcohol was flowing and all included. Jessie provided numerous options of places to go and things to see. The accommodations were super comfortable. We sailed, snorkeled, explored a couple small towns and mangroves, also used the kayaks and stand up paddle boards. We played games at night and always enjoyed the sunset. I would definitely do this trip again and highly recommend it!!
