We also booked this particular trip as part of a cruise package. Had a great 6 hours on the beach. Lovely warm carabean sea, spotless white sands, great snoreklling off the pier. Lovely food and drink as well. Straight from the harbour to the island. Perfect

The best part of this excursion from Royal Caribbean Liberty of the sea was being tendered right from the ship. The island itself was very small. We were lucky that we were the only ship in Belize that day so getting chairs were no problem. My kids age 16 and twin 13 year olds enjoyed the kayaks. Very very shelly getting into the water once you got past the shells it was more like warm silt then sand. The generator on the island had been broken so the beverages were warm.in my opinion not worth the money.

During cruise on Carnival Liberty bought excursion on "The private island with a beach and a lunch" lasting 4 hours for 55 USD for the adult. Reached on the island on the boat about 20 minutes. The boat took away us directly from the ship standing on the tender in the sea and carried to other party from port.
All island is a big deception. It doesn't cost also the tenth part of the paid money. First of all about the sea: round the island it a small, sandy bottom lasts three meters from the coast, any swill under feet like silt then begins. Very nepriyatiny feeling. Besides, silt exudes characteristic very nepriyatiny smell. The beach sandy, but on it is a lot of beaten cockleshells. It is necessary therefore to go or it is very careful, or in footwear. Exotic small fishes in the sea practically aren't present, there is no need to dive with a mask. However, starfishes come across.
All island very small. If more than 100 people here gather, will be close.
Wi-fi the Internet on the island, certainly, is absent.
On the island there is one bar in which it is supposed to feed us with a lunch. The bar looks very shabby and not so pure. With sanitation here likely there are some problems. The prices in the bar: beer of local flood – 4 USD for a bottle 284 milliliters (or 6 bottles for 20 USD), a Coca Cola of 3 USD, daiquiri cocktail with mango – 8 USD (but we in it didn't find the promised alcohol, mango too it was replaced with a concentrate).
There is also small shop of souvenirs, but in view of total absence of the competition, the prices in shop read off scale. The bargaining, certainly, isn't pertinent. Bought there a souvenir plate for 15 USD, saw same in the port of Belize for 7 USD later.
There was a wish to return on arrival at once on the ship, but after all same the island!

Island photos on the Internet look interestingly, but close everything was much worse. As they say: "don't trust the eyes". Advising to nobody to take excursion to this island.

it was a tiny island which isn't a big deal but the sand was so coarse and sharp from shells made me keep my shoes on the whole time...at least they are nice enough to post a sign to warn you of this.

The water was fine until we figured out that the restrooms empty into the water behind us and that pretty much grossed us out.

The chairs were solid wood, flat and uncomfortable but the regular sit down chairs were good.

Ambiance wise they played the same 5 song CD over and over again...after the 3rd time you definitely will know the words to Follow Me, Follow Me, Follow Me.

All in all I would never go back here again...even at 39.99 each it really wasn't worth it.

This is a very simple, no frills island, which is a nice break from the cruise ship party scene. There were plenty of chairs for all. There may be 15 feet of sandy ocean at the small beach and then it turns into MUSH. The sandy ocean is full of sharp broken shells and full sized crabs. The drink selection is pretty good. The food is average. My number one complaint with this place is the smell. There is a noticeable stench coming from near the bathroom. Our group investigated the area and found that small PVC pipes were running directly from the bathroom into a simple steel box and then directly into the ocean which was connected to the swimming area. One of our friends was able to take pictures. I realize this is not the U.S., but there is no way this can be safe. I am so thankful it was an overcast day and I only went in the water up to my knees. Not to mention the food is served within close vicinity to this area. Someone will get seriously ill from this. In fact, six of the nine people in our group came down with a GI illness.
