This is a great historic British hotel next to the ocean.
Very close (couple of blocks) from the San Pedro water taxi.
All staff here were amazing - very professional and provided true hospitality.
We dined for breakfast the first day (arriving early) in the bar, then had a Belize City Tour from Israel Vasquez - a Radisson local staff member. Fantastic tour of the newer parts of town, the rougher parts of town south of the river - along with the historic church, the cultural house and the Belize museum. Highly recommended for getting a feel of the city.
The band at the Stone Grill restaurant was excellent (Friday night).
Many locals showed up as well so it provided a nice feeling of being in the city as a guest. They had several security staff on hand along with many hospitality staff so we felt very safe. (the courtyard near the bar opens onto the street, just across from their marina, and their are local street vendors who gather right outside).

Great experience.

The rooms are on a par with a good US-based Radisson. There is a great pool, maybe two? The restaurants are good, both the main dning room and in the bar. The exercise room is clean and the equipment is well maintained. The jetty in front of the hotel is where cruise ship passengers are brought in from the ships that are moored a few miles off the coast. The hotel is located very close to densely populated areas of Belize City, a little too close to some not very nice locals. A colleague of mine, while a guest at the Raddison, was mugged while jogging along the ocean-front road. Do not venture out alone. The government have invested, and are continuing to invest, much treasure in the renovation of this area and it is destined to shortly become the "jewel in the Belize City tourism crown". It is vey close to the municipal airport for the "island hopper" flights, as well as to the water taxis which provide service to the cays. The major shortcoming is that it's priced a little too high for the services received. They can price the way they do as occupancy rates appear to be very high. On my last trip I checked the room prices at the nearby Princess Hotel and Casino, a Ramada property, and the rooms are almost as nice as the Radisson, but considerably cheaper.

Le Petit Cafe across the road from the hotel reception area is a very pleasant spot for a good cofee or teaa and some reasonably priced pastries and savoury snacks. It opens at 6:00am and is always busy.

This is the only hotel I stay at when I travel to Belize City. The rooms are quite and clean and the staff is helpful The hotel is located in a better area of town and there is a marina across the street if your need to catch a boat for a dive trip. There are some places to eat within the hotel and across the street. The hotel is within walking distance of the town and close to shops.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the pool area and bar.

This hotel was beautiful. The staff was great and attentive, the hotel pool bar/restaurant was beautiful, and the rooms were very clean and pretty. We also did 2 tour days through the hotel that were amazing with a guide named Israel Vasquez who knew so much about the area and showed us a great time. Best place to stay in Belize City for sure.

We stayed at the Radisson after a live aboard dive trip. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The concierge was knowledgeable. This hotel is extremely convenient since the dock is across the street AND it is close to good restaurants, including its own. The only complaint was that the wet bar counter was sticky. We found staff to be 100% better than two years ago when they were surly and not helpful.

Room Tip: The rooms on the "front" are more easily accessible. However be careful with regard to ov...

We flew into Belize City and took Maya Island Air down to Placencia. A big storm popped up suddenly in Placencia. After 3 failed attempts to land we had to turn back for Belize City. The airport was closed when we got back. The staff took good care of us to make calls. We chose to go clear across town to stay at this Radisson and were glad we did. The hotel near the airport did not appear to be safe or meet any of my criteria for staying in an unknown place. Radisson was pricey but worth every dime. Had great food and drinks on property. Nice clean rooms like I would expect in the states.
