We had a great time with Omar from Belize inland tours. My wife and i stayed at Sleeping Giant lodge just a 15 minute drive to St. Herman's Blue hole national park where we did our unforgettable cave tubing tour. The tour started with an easy 10 minute walk to the entrance of the cave "entrance to the underworld". we were the only group in the cave, it was so peace full WHAT A PLACE TO MEDITATE. the actual float was about an hour and totally inside the cave having just our headlights to light the way, what a relaxing and peace full tube ride. Omar was very knowledgeable and pointed out many interesting things while on a 300 yards walk in the cave.
It's an amazing feeling coming out of the cave after being 2 hrs on total darkness, really cool.
On our way back to the lodge we did a stop at the Cenote for a swim, it was really refreshing and not too many people also.
Totally recommend Belize Inland Tours for your inland adventure

An awesome adventure no one should miss. Nico of Belize Inland Tours took us through the jungle on an easy 10 minute hike to the mouth of an incredible cave. The lush vegetation surrounding the cave and mosses growing in the mouth of the cave or beautiful. Swallows flitted around the opening which we mistook for bats, briefly. Nico, always knowledgeable, straightened us out. We saw lizards, butterflies, and learned about vines. Once in the cave we were stunned by its size. There were beautiful sparkling calcite formations and stalactites stalagmites everywhere. I Was Impressed by how pristine scene. A river flowed to cave and we, carrying inner tubes, for perhaps a third of a mile, going deeper and deeper into the constantly changing, often wide open spaces of the cave. Nico provided us with headlamps, but he had a higher powered torch. I would have enjoyed having a more potent LED hand held waterproof flashlight myself. At this point the key was in total darkness except for our lights. We have not seen another soul. Replaced power tubes in the water which was cool but not cold. We floated with the current down the river, fending off the walls of the cage. There was always 10 to 30 feet of air overhead as we floated. After more than a half mile of sightseeing past the curtain, waterfall, and coral head like formations we passed the original entry point of the cave, coming into the light again. At this point nico had us turn off our lights as the river was deep and flowing very slowly through a smooth wide open space. We drifted slowly into darker and darker areas with no additional light. Eventually there was pitch darkness surrounding us. My wife likened it to a sensory deprivation tank. Very cool. All through the cave there are water droplets beading on the walls and ceilings. In your lights they appear much like a starfield. Very cool. the hike out was initially up a steep set of perhaps 50 steps but then as easy as coming in. A remarkable and memorable experience. Highly recommend

Awesome day spent with Neko. We changed our destination, last minute, and Neko only said, no problem, we are in Belize. Don't bother with the bigger tours, as this tour group is "the best"! Neko was able to squeeze in picking us up from airport, cave tubing, blue hole, lunch and zip lining and got us back in time for our return flight to the island. A little rushed, but extremely enjoyable!!! Thanks you guys for a great excursion....Ralph

We had a great time walking and tubing through the caves with Neko - he was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful as a guide. No need to go through the tour groups if you can get a ride to their location near the Blue Hole. Trip includes entrance to the pool as well. Don't miss it if you want to see the caverns.

My wife and I did both a cave tubing tour as well as a tour of the ruins of Cahal Pech and Xunantunich with Belize Inland Tours. Omar and Neko were extremely friendly, and they picked us up from our hotel to bring us by the office. From there Edgar was our guide, and on the way to St. Herman's cave he pointed out different fruits that were safe to eat as well as different medicinal uses for the plants we walked by. In the cave he took the time to explain the religious significance the caves had to ancient Mayans, and he also took as to a spot in the cave where some pottery work had been found. From there we used our inner tubes to to ride back the way we came, going past the entrance and further downstream. Big surprise, you will get wet doing this - either wear water shoes or be ready to use some of theirs. They'll give you headlamps to use though, so don't bring your own flashlight unless you want one more thing to hang onto. The water goes through some areas that have quite a few fruit bats that will fly right by your head, but they didn't hurt us or make any contact with us. In all the experience was exciting at times (there are a few points where the current picks up but nothing extreme) and extremely peaceful at others. Edgar is an awesome guide with first aid training and rescue experience (we didn't need it but it was good to know) and Neko and Omar were very friendly as well.

During our stay we talked to other travelers who weren't happy with their experience with another company and we pointed them toward Belize Inland Tours. Not only did they have good things to say about it afterwards, but one of them bought me a beer (Belikin of course) to thank us for it. These guys are good people and you can't go wrong by doing a tour with them.
