“Great excursions”
Reviewed 25 January 2014

We stayed at a different lodge who offered excursions with Ian Anderson and we were not disappointed. We did the black hole drop which exhausting and amazing. They told us at the beginning that we must take 2 of the large bottles of water with us and if we drink a lot of water we should take at least 3. I had wished I had taken at least 3 as I went through my 2 quicker then anybody else. It is a tough climb but worth it and the decent into the sink hole is amazing. The guides were great. My kids tried but inevitably they were just a bit to afraid to actually do the repelling into the sink hole. Two of the guides walked them back the way we came and met the rest of us where we get out of the hole and we had lunch. It was a trip we will remember. We also spent a day cave tubing and zip lining . The cave tubing was great. It was our family and one other person along with two guides. The trip on the tractor to get to the start was just as fun as the tubing itself. It was so beautiful, peaceful and quite. We were really able to get away and connect with nature. It was great. The zip lining was fun but just ok. It was short and quick compared to other zip lines we have done but the mosquito's were so bad (we were there during the rainy season) that we were ok with how quick it was. The lunch they served us on this excursion was delicious and when the woman with us made it knows that she was a vegetarian they were very quick to accommodate her. We also spent a day at the ruins of Xunantunich. That was also a highlight and we loved our time. The guides on all our excursions were phenomenal. We would love to go back one day soon as there were a few other tours (ATV and waterfall) that we didn't get to do and very much want to. If you want a great experience in the jungle of Belize then Ian Anderson's Cave's Branch Adventures are the way to go.

“Cave Tubing - Excellent Fun”
Reviewed 30 December 2013

If you stay at Caves Branch you can go on the cave tubing trip that runs through five caves, three that are on Caves Branch property, and so you don't have to share with all the cruise ship day trippers. It's a great ride and the guides are professional and capable. Highly recommended, and where else can you ride in a mis-shapen inner tube on a river through caves?? A great day out.

“For Cave Tubing, Caves Branch is the MUST USE Company!”
Reviewed 30 November 2013

I researched NUMEROUS cave tubing tour companies prior to leaving for Belize, as I knew this was an absolute desired excursion during our time there. A large number of the companies only service cruise ship passengers and others only tour the same two caves that the cruise ship passengers go through. I was elated to come across Ian Anderson's Caves Branch Adventure Company which offers a full-day River of Caves tour that includes 7 miles of caves, three of the caves being ones that only this company can go through with lunch included. Carlos and Darrel were our guides and did an excellent job pointing out features, as well as providing detailed instructions (there are underground rapids in some of the caves that are an excellent thrill ride, but you've gotta know how to navigate them safely and they make sure that you do). We were in a small group (in the first three caves there were only 8 of us, guides included), so we were able to explore the caves in relative quiet, adding that much more to the experience. Once we reached the caves where the the cruise ship passengers tour, we more fully appreciated the previous three caves we were able to experience in relative solitude. When I first saw their site, I was concerned that you had to stay at their Jungle Lodge to take the tour (we already had other lodging locked in), since their information inquiry requests the number of rooms and nights you are looking to stay. However, after a quick email I learned that staying at the Jungle Lodge was not required in order to take the tour (though it does look lovely and others in our group who were staying there highly recommended it). Even if you're staying closer to another company that also offers cave tubing, go with Ian Anderson's Caves Branch Adventure Company... the extra caves and experience are definitely worth it.

“Excellent service”
Reviewed 5 July 2013

Due to floods our excursion to the popular waterfall tour was cancelled. Eugene called us prior to arrival and offered to upgrade us to the Black Hole drop. The experience was different but nonetheless memorable going down the 300 foot sinkhole. Upon return, Eugene made sure that we were comfortable and were able to use the facilities to swim and take a shower. He exemplifies outstanding service. Great job!!
