Our family spent an amazing week at Banana Bank Ranch. Half our group stayed in the air-conditioned rooms and the others had a jungle cabana. We were pleased with all our accommodations which were clean and comfortable. Carolyn Carr is a gifted artist and her talent is displayed not only in her paintings but also in the unique personalities of these accommodations.
I have 4 teenage boys and they gave the meals a five star rating. The food was delicious and plentiful. My favorite was the fresh-baked bread and home-grown vegetables. Meals were served family-style and offered a great time to visit with other travelers and our gracious hosts, John, Carolyn, and Leisa Carr. Banana Bank offered a variety of tours and helpful travel advice.
The beautiful grounds and refreshing pool were a great place to return to after a full-day of sightseeing. There was also a variety of tropical animals on the grounds. Some had been rescued after being orphaned or injured in the wild and were now being cared for at the ranch.
We rode horses several times and each trip was an unforgettable adventure. Sherman, Stephan, Joey and Marvin were experienced with horses and excellent guides. The horses were healthy and well-trained and we never wanted the rides to end. In fact, no one wanted our stay at Banana Bank to end. We can't wait to come again on another visit.
