“the best guide you can find!”
Reviewed 2 September 2011

The experience with the Kin Winik team was fantastic...

John Chuc is the most enthusiastic guide, he shares his knowledge and experience with beautiful words that make you dream...
He doesn't rush you, if you want to take pictures or you want to enjoy a romantic walk or swim by yourselves he will wait (we were supposed to come back at 5p.m. but we stayed another hour, just because we liked it).
If you are alone or just a couple he will take you (most of the other tour operators want a minimum number of people) without overcharging you, so that you can really enjoy the most pristine places, without being surounded by other tourists.

The office in town (2 minutes walking from the mainstreet) is very well done, the decorations in tropical and maya styles are all made by John himself, who is also a wonderful artist!
Dean works there, and he is one of the nicest person we met in Belize! In fact, he met us in the main street and we followed him to the office (don't be discouraged by his initial shyness!).

The prices of the different tours that they organize are very resonable (and totally fair), and if you take more than one you can arrange an even better price.

Kin Winik JT is not yet in the Lonely Planet because it's a new tour agency (John has always worked as a guide, but he's been working as a prviate for only a couple of years), no doubt it will be in the next edition.

It was a wonderful experience in every respect, we fully recommend it!

Thank you John and Dean!

“the best in Belize”
Reviewed 14 August 2011

9 excursions around the country...
John Chuc is the best. He shares his knowledge with passion.
He organises all tours proposed by others tour operators and also a personal one following your requests. He's less expensive than the bigs operators and offers a best service

“John is the best for Caracol and Mountain Pine Ridge.”
Reviewed 6 August 2011

I've been lucky enough to go with John Chuc twice to Caracol and MPR. I've sent quite a few friends with him, and they've only had great things to say about how he leads his tours. It seems like his specialty is the private tour through Caracol, and then hitting MPR on the way back.

Caracol was great with John because we heard all about the Mayan history, and how Caracol and Tikal were warring tribes of the Mayan culture. I don't know how he remembered all the dates, but it was a great history lesson. And Ca'ana is a very impressive structure.

Rio On Pools was a really nice spot to stop at and swim in the granite pools, and to lay under the waterfall for the best natural massage. Big Rocks Falls was spectacular, and John knows the way to climb up for some thrilling cliff jumping.

Great knowledge and service, from a guide that really cares about the Mayan culture. Will I use John again, and refer friends to him in the future? Yes! I can't wait.
