Stayed there 3 nights last weekend and had a great time there. The staff went above and beyond at every corner to ensure that we had a great stay.

The room was very spacious with all amenities necessary for a great stay including a mini fridge, a microwave, and a safe. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the AC worked great.

The infinity pool was definitely a highlight of the stay, with a nice bar next to it. Daisy and Emily from the front desk staff were always smiling and friendly. Joseph was always nice to us and Edwin was our MVP allstar! He was always very nice and engaging with us with great suggestions of places to eat and drink.

I would highly recommend staying there if ever in San Ignacio as we couldn't have been treated better. Two thumbs way up to the staff of the Rumors Resort !

We stayed at Rumors for five days during a recent trip to Belize. It was a good home base. The staff is really friendly and thoughtful. They were quick to call a cab or answer a question. The room was clean. The air conditioning worked great, which we were really thankful for. The pool is great and was a welcome relief after a day of going to Mayan ruins. If you stay here you will need to take a cab to town. It's not walking distance but a cab ride cost $5 US so no big deal. I'd stay here again if I was in the area.

Thank you for your positive feedback! It was a pleasure hosting you during your visit to the San Ignacio area. Please
Our staff always strives to go above and beyond in offering truly personalized service to each and every one of our guests because we want you to feel at home with us.

We are situated a mere 5 minutes from San Ignacio Town. We are situated a distance enough to offer a tranquil and relaxing ambiance and close enough to town to access its conveniences.

You have the option of having us call a private cab for you at a cost of US$5 per trip (not per person) this fee may increase if it's later on in the night (after hours) to about US$7.5.

You also have the option of catching a collectivo (shared taxi) just off the roadside for a mere US$1 per person or the public bus which passes every 30 minutes for about US$0.5 per person.

We hope you would visit again sometime.

When looking for lodging in San Ignacio, almost all of the options fell between super high-end expensive hotels and super low-end hostels/hotels. Rumors was one of the few options that had an in-between price. All of the staff were extremely friendly and professional. The room was average. It was clean and the A/C worked (which is important in Belize!). We were in Room 6, located right behind the reception/bar area. Thus, we were woken early in the morning to hear the staff getting ready for the morning and for breakfast. The noise was frustrating but we survived. The pool is lovely, as is the veranda, where you can watch spectacular sunsets. The staff will bring drinks and food to you at the pool, which is an added bonus. The food was "meh." Don't plan on walking into town. I like to walk everywhere and I thought it was a long walk on a dangerous road (i.e., lots of fast cars).

Room tip: Room 6 will be loud in the morning, although conveniently located.

Thank you for your most valuable feedback!

We're glad to know that you had an overall positive experience with us and we apologize the areas of improvement which you have mentioned.
We have been made aware that room #6 is situated right next to our kitchen and as such, it can get a bit noisy in the morning. For this reason, we have asked our kitchen staff to be considerate of this issue in the morning but furthermore, we've addressed this with our frond desk and asked them to sell this room only as a last resort and it has also been categorized as an economy room (and sold very cheap) for this reason. We are currently working on improving the insulation in the walls between the kitchen and this room to alleviate this problem.

We do serve food and drinks at our pool bar for your enjoyment.
You're also free to experience the local foods in town at your own leisure.
We are a mere 5 minute's drive from San Ignacio town. We can call you a private taxi for US$5 per trip (not per person) or you can catch a collective (public/ shared taxi) at the roadside for a mere US$1 or US$1.5 per person. Public buses also pass every 30 minutes and charge about US$0.5 per person into town.

We do not encourage walking into town as it is not within walking distance and the roads are not pedestrian-friendly.

The hotel was totally fine. Clean; friendly staff; lovely pool. The pool was crowded on the weekend but very quiet during the week. You will need to take a $10 Belize dollars taxi ride to downtown for shopping and restaurants

Thank you for your valuable feedback, it was a pleasure hosting you.

During summer (when international visitors are few) we open our doors to the general public who come to enjoy our pool on weekends as our guest mentions.
During the week it is a lot calmer.

We are situated a mere 5 minutes from San Ignacio Town and yes, a private taxi charges US$5 per trip (not per person).
There are other cheaper alternatives. You can simply stand on the road side and catch a collectivo (shared taxi) for a mere US$1 per person.
Public buses also run every 30 minutes and charge about BZ$1.

My friends and I arrived at Rumors to use their pool, however we found ourselves ordering food and it was delicious. The service we got from the waiter/bartender that were by the pool was excellent. The pool has a great view that you can swim and enjoy. Bravo
