“Budget friendly place to rest your head”
Reviewed 17 November 2013

Casa Blanca was a great budget friendly place to stay in San Ignacio. Some of the excursions we wanted to take using San Ignacio as a base were a little pricey so it was great to find somewhere which was reasonably priced without being crummy.

The rooms were simple and a touch on the small side but clean and had air conditioning. The security at the guest house was also great as there was a metal gate on the door which only guests could get into.

The owners were friendly and helpful though the tours which they had on offer were slightly higher in price than others on Burns Avenue. The location was great though - it was easy to get around the town on foot and it was close to the bus stop when we wanted to leave. IT was also close to the banks, a supermarket and a number of great places for lunch such as Ko-Ox Han nah.

The decor in the communal spaces was a bit dated and although they won an award in 2003 you get the impression that things haven't changed at all since then. It would have been a great improvement if the kitchen had water available to drink.

A great hotel at an amazing cost. The rooms are simple, but very clean and comfortable. My wife and I slept well and didn't have any issues with the other guests making noise. Just outside the front door are amazing food options and very friendly locals. I had a great time and only regret that I couldn't stay longer.

We stayed at Casa Blanca for a couple of nights and it was more than adequate. The management was very accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable. We would recommend this highly as an affordable option if you are travelling to San Ignacio.

We stayed at Casa Blanca for an overnight stay. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. It's more a budget hotel rather so if you are looking for fancy this is not the place for you. We had two beds inthe room ac, and of course hot and cold shower.I would recommend to any travellers looking for a clean and comfortable room to stay while in San Ignacio. The owners were warm and friendly what more could you ask for when your looking for just plain comfort and cleaness.

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights and we felt almost at home. The rooms are big, clean and very comfortable and well kept. The bathroom is clean and towels are changed every day. The common area looks like your grandma's house! We loved it!
you can use the kitchen, but there is no oven and the microwave doesn't work well. you have only the refrigerator working. The owner Beatriz is a Very Nice lady and helped us in all we need. We also boght our tour tickets in the hostel, with Carolina. Good price and trustfull.

$25 a night for a clean, safe room and access to a kitchen and wifi.

After coming to SI from Caye Caulker where my a/c room was the same price, I could not fork up the extra $20 per night for it.

Otherwise, it was a great room. I had 2 beds, good hot water, and daily maid service. The balcony is nice, especially if your room is warm.

Yes, my room did face a parking lot and I could hear what was going on, but I am not a difficult American tourist who expects the world to cater to my needs. (Just an observation of some fellow American travelers, not meant to be rude)

I would certainly come back if I wanted to stay in the heart if SI.

We stayed at Casa Blanca during our San Ignacio trip and loved it. It is in the perfect location and somehow the rooms block out all of the noise outside.
The bright big rooms were some of the cleanest we have stayed in and there is a kitchen/fridge/wifi for guest use. It's basic but everything you would need in SI.
