Nice resort with good amenities. Nice pools. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only bad side is the hill you have to climb each time you want to go downtown. We recommand taking a taxi (7$ bze). The tour they organized are good and prices are comparable to the other companies. Although, we tried to have a personnalized trip to the local farms, but they didn't help much. It is better to stick with the tour they offer. Food was good but not too many choices.

The staff at the resort are the best. Melanie was great to work with while booking my trip. She took care of everything, including our excursions, best around. The front desk staff was always helpful and kind. They will help you with anything you need. I would recommend this property to anyone. The family cabana, Yaxha ( i think the name was) was great for a family. Nice rooms and great hammock on screened in porch.

We spent 4 nights here in March. We loved the location, the pool, the view, and our dinners. The bartender also helped to make our stay memorable. The negatives: the rooms are in much need of updating. The sheets, bedspreads and towels are clean but full of holes and fraying. The buffet breakfast was only O.K. There were tea bags but you always had to track someone down to give you hot water. We decided to order breakfast one morning and it took almost an hour to get it (after questioning where it was) and then it was poorly cooked and horrible. They didn't charge us for the breakfast. it could be a fabulous resort with a few updates and possibley more staff on at busy times.

We stayed here for 5 nights in Tulum Cottage. This particular cottage is right at the bottom of Cahal Pech resort and involved much steep uphill walking to the reception area and restaurant. Fortunately we are both very fit : ).

The cottage was basic and regularly cleaned. The aircon made a racket but fortunately we didn't need it. The basin tap is misaligned with the basin so is difficult to use.

Free WiFi was great but access was only possible at the restaurant and pool area.

Lovely gardens and lots of birdlife. We loved the fruit laden bird feeder which even attracted squirrels. Spotted a possum one evening too. The pool was very welcome!

The location is quite far out of town which is perhaps not a bad thing considering San Ignacio was not as charming as we hoped it would be. We were glad to have booked at Cahal Pech as it was a little paradise outside of town.

The hotel staff were friendly and assisted us when our tour company, CAT, forgot to collect us for our booked tours.

Be sure to stroll down the hill to the fantastic Cayo Twist Non-dairy Ice Cream parlor!!

A recommendation to the hotel: purchase some new towels pls - the ones we were given were very threadbare.

Our group of 10 visited Cahal Pech Village on the last two days of a week-long Central American tour that took us through Honduras, Guatemala, and Belize. It was the perfect way to end a long and wonderful journey. Before we even checked in, we were greeted by Belize's best smile, Mr. Chin, who passed out a few handshakes and hugs before taking our luggage to the counter. Once we reached the check-in counter, we were given our keys within two minutes and on our way to our room. From that point on, we were addressed by our names (it's amazing how the staff remembered)! The rooms were phenomenal and the views were out of this world! Oscar made sure our crew was well hydrated, Gabby made sure our bellies were full (amazing chicken curry) and Tanya took care of everything we needed. We truly felt at home and departure was painful. We will DEFINITELY be back but next time we will stay longer.

Wonderful resort. Beautiful grounds, overlooking San Ignacio with fantastic staff. All staff did everything they could to make our stay the best that it could be. We stayed in a cabana and loved lounging in the hammock on the screened in porch. The room was very basic, made me feel like I was camping with modern conveniences (TV), and clean. We went on many different excursions and all the guides were very helpful/knowledgeable.

cahal pech is a must stay while in San Ignacio area. We were pleasantly surprised by the serene feeling, the view from the bar area is breathtaking, taking in the whole area of the town and surrounding area. We will definetley be back. Dodi and Oscar were a wonderful bartender and waiter. Great meals. Great cabana, nice and clean, a/c, etc.
